I almost didn't purchase this, because the outer layer was darker than how most other pound cakes appear. I have to say I'm glad I got it. The outer layer was slightly crunchy, and the inner parts were soft and moist. Which resembles a kind of banana bread, and when paired with your favorite ice cream, it's simply a delight.

This pound cake is absolutely delicious. It's moist with a good vanilla flavor. I only gave it 4 stars because it was burned on the top; just a little with a dark brown color and a slight burnt taste. Every one of them in the bakery had the same dark top so it wasnt a co mistake with just this one. Even though the slight burned taste detracted from the overall taste, as a whole the cake was still delicious and I will definitely buy it again.

This was a nice surprise. Kept looking at it each trip the decided to give it a shot. That was the right move. It hits the sweet tooth without being too sweet. It is firm yet soft, there is no butter or vanilla overpowering the flavor-it just works. Will definitely buying more.

We loved this vanilla cake. It was so moist and it actually tasted like vanilla. We served it with strawberries and whipped cream, we also ate it just plain with coffee for breakfast. Excellent!

It was moist and lasted a while. It did NOT dry out leaving it in the box on the counter once opened. Delicious alone and as a strawberry shortcake. A must try.

Excellent taste. Great as a base topped with strawberries, whipped cream or vanilla ice cream and sprinkled with grated walnuts.

It tasted pretty good, but that was a day where the oven must've been too dark because they must've had 48 of them all stacked on a table and so many of them look like they were almost burnt. The one I found wasn't quite that dark and it was a little dry, but we still ate it. Things happen. !!!

The flavor and taste are good, but you lose both ends because they are so dry. I've purchased it a few times and sometimes a very small part of the middle is raw.

Absolutely the worst cake I've ever gotten from a grocery store. I literally renamed it American cake, if you're wondering why, I'll elaborate some. If you've seen American Pie the movie, well you know the part where a character decides to bang the pie.. when I cut into this cake, it oozed out raw cake in the center, grossed me out and I thought of American pie.

I put fruit cream and ice cream and it was still dry. Nothing seemed to help the quality of this cake.
