[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, I was on the edge - should I keep the gas grill, or make the leap. Well. I am now feet first. It took me two cooks to get the charcoal ration correct, but I could not have been more pleased. I have grilled, smoked, seared, rotisseried (is that a word?) The versatility, flavor and results are all the BOMB!! I am a complete and utter convert. I have had gas, pellet and regular charcoal grills in the past. I am a Certified BBQ Judge, former restauranter, and you average Joe. I could not have asked for a better unit for all the attributes. So not hesitate, jump on into the deep end!

Happy so far with my Big Joe III, though I must admit, I'm still getting used to it. Prior BBQ was a Weber kettle. The Kamado is definitely more efficient with fuel, but the lump charcoal takes a bit more to get ready. A good tip I got was to wait until the dome is hot to the touch so you get the radiant heat back down from the top. Meat came out tasty and a bit more moist than with the Weber. I suspect I'm going to be learning for quite a while.

It is easy to start and there is a surprising amount of charcoal left for the next cook once I have shut it down. I have cooked some amazing meats and would definitely recommend this to anyone that is on the fence.

The grill is quality made. I really like the gasket versus other kamodo style grills. The air hinge makes opening the grill easy. Great Kamado grill fro. Great price.

This grill is our newest family entertainment for grilling out all summer long. The design and quality is the best there is. Tons of space and great accessories to grill everything from meat to vegetables and even pizza. It's helped us get more creative with healthy and delicious recipes for our family of 4.

Quick to heat and eager to please, look no further for your next grill. Kamado reaches the temperature your looking for in no time and it holds it steady within minutes... The lid opens wide and it with the new springs it holds up without any give. The new top has resisted some pretty tough storms leaving the inside of the grill dry as it can be, and the latch holds everything down with minimum effort. Light it, Grill it, Love it. Bom apetite!

It's paid for itself because now we don't go out to eat. And if we do I never get the high dollar steak because it's never as big or good as what I can make for a fraction of the price. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my Xmas present to me in November 2023. I've done about 30+ cooks on it since. Even baked a loaf of bread this winter when the power went out and the kitchen stove wasn't an option. I have not been disappointed in this unit. Some reviews might lament that they didn't get the Big Joe. For me this is the perfect size for my wife and I. I've never owned a Kamado style cooker before and this was something I wanted to try in my old age (I'm 78). Again, glad I made this choice.
