Every little detail is well thought through, love the Kamado Joe Classic III, a we'll put together product. My top favorite features 1) removable ash tray for ease of cleaning, 2) lid hinge system easy to hold in place and feels light weight, 3) well engineerer tower control vent that holds in place when opening/closing the lid, 4) all the accessories that came with it (and sold separately) including sloroller, pizza stones, 5) easy online shopping and on-time delivery (super easy to put together). Since I bought it ~2 months ago I smoked briskets, ribs, baked amazing home made pizzas, cooked beef bourguignon, all came out amazing. Solid 5 stars.

I have been following Kamado Joe for a couple of years. My WSM had become too leaky and it was tough to maintain temps. It's expensive but such a joy to cook with. I've started to rearrange my weekends for my cooks. It's easy to use and very versatile. In the first six weeks I've done the slow and low using the slo roller (tri tip, pork shoulder, brisket), pizza (using the DoJoe at 600°!), and roitisserie (wings and al pastor tacos using the Joetisserie). I can't adequately explain how awesome each of these turned out. I follow some YouTube videos and the rest is easy. I even enjoy cleaning it out! So again, don't hesitate, just buy it!

It's HUGE, and heavy! Extremely well built, and utilizes very good materials. Ensure you have another person with you if you plan on utilizing the stand. It's awkward, and like I said, heavy. You may even do well to have a third person on, “Stand by” just incase you need yet another pair of hands to assist. Finally, the directions on the proper way to place the inserts is less than stellar. I can't tell you how long I attempted to install the inserts until I figured out to utilize the metal ring. The ring not only kept everything in place, but also closed any gaps I was originally running into.

This is hands down my favorite purchase I've ever made. When you compare it to other kamado grills, the cooks are pretty equal, but it's in the accessories and features where Kamado Joe rises above the rest of the pack. Other Kamado grills will nickle and dime you to death making you buy all these extra accessories a la carte, but Kamado Joe understands that if you're investing this much into a grill, it's nice to throw in those extra. And the features destroy other Kamado grills. From the spring loaded lid, to the included aluminum cart on wheels and the grill side tables, to the ash tray (game changer since other grills are much more cumbersome to clean out the ash) to the extraordinary Slo Roller, this grill easily rises above the rest. And I highly recommend buying their lump charcoal and wood products as well. I also have almost every grilling surface from them and I have not been disappointed. Buy this grill NOW. You will not regret it. I've had it for 6 weeks and have cooked at least four days a week on it.

Experience - have owned small, simple gas barbeques before but very little experience overall and none with smoking or charcoal grills. This cooker absolutely exceeded all our expectations. First, the shipping was fast and the item is extremely well packed. It is very heavy though, you definitely need two people to get it out and on the rolling cart. Take your time and read the instructions to see where to lift from, etc. As far as cooking, it's amazing. I got great results right off the bat. I'm cooking out here in in -5 to -20 Celsius and the kamado has been great. There's probably a little more learning curve since the temperature outside is so cold I really have to keep the dome closed but this won't be as much of an issue the rest of the year. I've cooked about 10 times on it already in the last month or so and will probably use it even more in the spring / summer. All the accessories that come with it are very high quality. No complaints whatsoever. Can't recommend this enough, great great product.

I bought my first Kamado Joe a month ago and was surprised how easy it was to control the temperature and use. Our maiden voyage was to reverse searing a NY Strip and was blown away of how good it was!! Highly recommend this to anyone who likes to grill, smoke and all of the above.

I started with a steel kamado, and while it worked ok, nothing replaces ceramic. Temp control, insulation, heat retention, and a sealed environment are the reasons I was interested (along with grilling versatility) and I was not disappointed. It's been a short while but so far this grill can handle everything. I am very happy with my purchase.

The instructions for unpacking the Kamado Joe are _inside_ the grill, so you won't be able to read them until _after_ you've unpacked it! Watching an inboxing video would probably help a lot.

Love the grill. It came with a rusty spot and I'm still waiting for the new ring. For the price I expected no defects so that was disappointing and the reason for the lower rating. The grill itself is doing great things.

The smoker is great. Very dissatisfied with the kontrol top vent. Need to have a stainless option or move to the new design that BGE has
