Works great, doesn’t come with a strap and your arm gets burnt alot by the body, motor. Is lightweight and with heavier string did a really good job on some really tall grass ( about 2 foot tall) very happy I bought, and the price is great. Bought this brand because I bought a Senix push mower last year and it’s the easiest mower to crank ( I’m a 65y/o female) one pull maybe two and it runs great. I’m sold on this brand.

Great Weed Eater

Awesome Weed Eater - Easy to start - Easy to put together - Cuts the grass like a knife through butter. I added a harness and that makes it easier on the back. Highly recommended.

Qiute effective at lower rpms than a 2 stroke trimmer with less vibration but it requires 50%more fuel to do the same area as my old 2 stroke, however that is not a game changer for me. I'm definitely pleased with the unit.

Great, just needs a bit of redesign.

So this assembled fairly easily. Good power. Started first try. But it needs a longer shaft at the top; between the trigger handle and the motor. It’s too close together and the engine ends up hitting your elbow and burning you.

I used this gas powered weed eater to do the same trimming in my front yard ditch and donkey pen that I've been doing with an electric weed eater. I still have my electric weed eater and this gas trimmer is much faster but I only cut with it 3 times before it stopped cutting. The engine runs fine but the shaft broke.

Weed eater is junk

This item is crap. First time using it the string wouldn’t extend this when I tried to start it again the pull string wouldn’t rewind. Now to try and return it then return time runs out. Now stuck with a peice of junk. I’ll never buy from Walmart again.

Designed for short people

The first one I bought was in 2024 and I thought it was a great but on sale of course! Its regular price is around $130.00, sale price $119.00. Excellent price for a 4 stroke, IMO! My elevation above sea level is 4300 feet. After putting the unit together and going to Home Depot to get a shoulder strap, I started the unit, but it would not rev and because it does not have limiter caps on the carb, you cannot adjust it. Also, if you are a TALL person, do not buy a curved shaft trimmer, it was very hard for me to use for a long time (I have spine issues since birth). It did cut well, and I did like the advancement of trimmer line feature, and that oil and gas was in their own tanks. I couldn't stand straight to use the trimmer because of the curved shaft. I tried one of my Trimmer Plus attachments and because the engine was not tuned correctly, it did not perform very well. The Cultivator didn't turn at all; the Hedge trimmer attachment didn't want to work either. The straight shaft trimmer attachment worked ok, but as I said you cannot adjust the carb. Assembly was easy, as you have to bolt the trimmer line guard on the trimmer unit. Instructions were easy to comprehend. The 2 year warranty, well I should have read the reviews, but I ignored them and purchased another unit because again it was $119.99. Never opened the box and took it back to the store for a refund. Now I have to wait 3 plus weeks for that refund to happen. Split shaft trimmers are nice if they are compatible with Troy-Bilt or Sears Trimmer Plus Attachments, this is the only reason I bought in the first place. The engine rating is very low to try and use with attachment. 30 cc or higher is the best. anything less than 30cc will only power the Line Trimmer. I am taking my 33.3cc Split Shaft Sears unit into a repair shop. And go back to mixing the oil with the gas and I will hunt down a gas station that sells NON-ETHANOL GAS!

What A Piece of Junk

I spotted this string trimmer and decided to give it a shot. The price should have been my first red flag, but I went ahead with the purchase. Things were already off to a bad start when USPS misdelivered the package twice. After assembling it, adding oil, and nearly pulling my arm off trying to get it started, it finally ran fine. I headed out to cut some weeds, and at first, it did the job. Then it began shutting down randomly—I'd restart it, it would run briefly, then die again. This happened about five times, and eventually, the pull cord started yanking back so hard it bruised my fingers. It was like back pressure built up which caused the cord to jerk back. The ability to add other attachments was one thing that I needed, this unit did accept other attachments but did not hold the attachments very firm, and you could move them up and down while connected to the trimmer's shaft, which I could see this issue getting worse with use and this was a little discerning for me. I’ll be returning it to Sam’s Club in the morning.

Dead on arrival after one use.

After the first use, the item failed—a rivet holding the protective cover to the shaft broke. This appears to be a defect. I have photos available. Please process an immediate refund or replacement and advise on next steps.
