turbo tax should refund me half of my money

I don't feel it is fair for me to pay $320 to file three returns. Usually I buy it and do all three but I need a new computer to load turbo tax. will do for next year. I think you should refund me half of my money i didn't realize till you start it that the online you could only do one return not fair I have been a customer for almost 10 years it made me set up separate emails and phone numbers for each return didn't know till you start

Turbo Tax You’Ve Lost a Long Time Customer

I have used Turbo Tax for over 20 years. Never again. This was the worst experience ever. It would not import my info from last year which forced me to enter every single detail in. It did not take me through the topics one by one, especially in deductions. It did not show me how to enter quarterly payments made and help was no help. The steps shown in help guided to pick certain options that did not exist. Also, schedule E has always been included in the Deluxe version. Btw; it said Schedule E would be created as I filled in the info; but it didn’t say you were going to cheat the customer to do so. Not this year. Forced to add $60 in order to legally file. Shame on you. I will be making complaints up the ladder and will contact state and federal officials over the deceit I would rather do it all by hand like the old days rather than deal with absolute chaos of this years version. Do better. You’ve lost a long time customer.

Form 1095-A Issues

Form 1095-A did not include column B information, it only had 0.00. Turbo Tax would not move forward without this information submitted. I had to look up online what to put in these columns. Plus, when entering the information, TurboTax did not indicate which month was being filled out so through trial an error, I had to guess which number was next to be filled out.

TurboTax is a time saving way of doing your taxes

I first used TurboTax for my 2004 return when I was self-employed. It really helped me out with the Schedule C portion of that return. I started using it again in 2022 when I no longer qualified for free tax services as a military veteran. My only complaint is this year I had to redo the Federal Taxes to make sure I qualified for the home energy credit, which TurboTax did not query me for even though I had an energy credit a few years ago. Hence, the 4 star rating.

What the heck

It is annoying how much your service costs and if I am not on my toes, you would be adding additional costs to me. I did not ask for expert advise, but I was charged. I had to resubmit - but that is frustrating to people. I appreciate the 20% discount, however, I have been doing this for years with Turbo Tax.

Feedback on several issues

Very surprised that the system did not prompt me to enter my healthcare information (1095-A) - if I hadn't known to do it there would have been a problem. I was also unable to enter a schedule M and/or make a subtraction from state income - that resulted in a tax burden higher than it should have been. Disappointed as I have been a TT user for years.

Turbo Tax Online is awesome!!

Have used Turbo Tax software since it was introduced, this is my first year using Turbo Tax Online. Took awhile to adapt, but once I got rolling it flowed smoothly. Easy to enter data, auto save and return to complete as I gathered info needed. Always accurate!! Quickest I have ever completed my Federal and State taxes.

Wanna upgrade? Are you sure? ARE YOU SURE??

The process was so smooth and it was easy to find answers if I was confused. The ads to upgrade to the Max plans and all the add-on plans was annoying because I had to answer the same upgrade questions numerous times. Once at the end and once at the beginning wouldn't be so bad but in the middle too? It was a bit much

Turbo Tax was Easy

This is the first year I used Turbo Tax. I am retired now and had the time to do my taxes myself. Turbo tax was easy to use with some previous computer experience. I did not need t use the on ine help. The whole process was fairly easy and I will use them again next year!

CA state filing fee erroneously popping up.

I recently filed my taxes using TurboTax, and the California state filing fee experience was… honestly confusing. TurboTax kept showing a $59 state filing fee throughout the process, even though I was using a promotional offer that supposedly included one free federal and one free state return. Here’s the problem: In the middle of the workflow, TurboTax repeatedly displayed the $59 fee It looked like I was going to be charged no matter what There was no clear indication that the promotion would override the fee later The UI made it feel like I was being upsold or misled But then, at the final checkout screen, the fee suddenly disappeared: Premium upgrade: $0 California state return: $0 State filing fee: $0 Total: $0 So the promotion did apply — but only at the very end. What I didn’t like The inconsistent pricing throughout the process The anxiety of thinking I’d be charged $59 The lack of transparency about when the promotion actually applies The feeling that TurboTax intentionally keeps the fee visible to push upgrades What actually happened In the end, I wasn’t charged anything. But the experience was stressful and unnecessarily confusing. Final thoughts TurboTax needs to fix the way it displays state filing fees. If a promotion removes the fee, that should be clear from the beginning — not hidden until the last step. The product works, but the pricing UI feels manipulative and creates distrust.
