Great display kit

I just recently started buying lego again, couldn't afford it as a kid and now as an adult it's getting out of control as my wife would say LOL! I am a HUGE star wars fan, the first AT-AT kit was huge and rather pricey so I was super pumped this kit came out. It's from one of the best scenes in the movies. Kit went together flawlessly as always for lego. Detail is there for its size. Love the display stand and the little plac. Keep it coming lego there are many other great scenes from these movie that can be produced at this scale.

Desktop AT-AT

overall fun build with easy assembly and instructions were clear. Mounting the finished product on the stand was the hardest part, as the more finnicky pieces tended to come apart, and needed a few attempts to complete the task. Once done, its a reasonably size product that doesn't take up too much shelf space to display. The tow cable is a nice touch!

Simply love it!

As a Star Wars fan this was a must get! Although it was simple to put together, it was still fun nevertheless.

Baby AT-AT

A beautiful AT-AT at a new space friendly size. The AT-AT is one of my favorite star wars vehicles, and this is the most accurate model they have ever made at this scale. Also love the included dynamic snow speeder wrap around. Now for the negatives, I strongly disliked building this model with the worst part being the legs. During the building process the legs & feet easily disconnect from the body especially while connecting to the black platform. I personally found the second half of the building process very frustrating because of this, which is a first for a Lego build for me. A nice looking set but just too fragile and delicate for my taste.

The snow speeder is a perfect touch

To be fair, it is a bit pricy for what it is. But I cannot say that I don't love it cause I really do. Empire strikes back iS an All time classic, that scene was a revelation of the might of the Empire back in the day. Display is perfect size and the snow speeder makes it larger than life

Missing the Detail

So far, this is the only MIDI scale set that has disappointed me. Let me start with what I did like though: 1. The angles and placement of the armor plating is impressive and exceeded my expectations. 2. The build was fun and I continue to have those 'Oh, that's clever" moments when building LEGO. 3. Printed graphic on parts! Thank you! OK, now to the dark side... A few key missing elements/opportunities stand out to me: 1. The Base - Why not white/snow since this clearly supposed to be hoth? 2. The Legs - I was surprised and sad to find that there was very limited articulation. The use of the 2x8 spanning where the joints are felt like the easiest path for this build, and I find that uncharacteristic of the rest of the models at this scale and of LEGO in general. 3. The armor plating lacks the visual interest I've come to expect from LEGO. It's fine, but I just thought there would be more. 4. Minor point - I feel like the guns/antennas are too small and need just a bit more presence.

Very cool, but not fun to build

I enjoy the final look of the piece. but trying to get the legs to stay attached to the base while assembling was just a nightmare. I’m scared to move it or touch it for fear of it falling apart. It’s also way smaller than I expected.

Not sturdy.

While I do like the AT AT, the mid scale build is very weak at where the legs attach and the slightest touch will have the model come crashing down.

Most frustrating Lego I have ever done. Falls apart way too easily. Obviously Lego has a design flaw and did not account for simple physics.
