Was lucky enough to purchase this at the $477 price point. Came in a generic white box but was basically brand new, no scratches or sign of usage. The controller feels a little off (like the thumb stick is sticky) but other than that it's great!

I finally splurged on the Pro version and set it up in front of my 98 inch TV. The moment I turned it on, the graphics looked so crisp I thought the game characters were trying to sneak out of the screen and into my living room. The frame rate is smoother than a buttered otter sliding down a water slide, and I swear the explosions now have a faint scent of ozone that wafts through the house. Ease of use? It's basically a plug-and-play miracle. I didn't need a PhD in electronics to get it running; the UI is so intuitive that even my grandma could figure it out while knitting a sweater. The controller feels like a solid chunk of future tech, and the PS Portal syncs flawlessly, letting me stream my favorite titles to the couch without a hitch. As for quality, this thing feels like it was forged by a team of artisanal engineers who only use the finest titanium and unicorn hair. The build is sturdy, the fan is whisper-quiet (except when it decides to announce a boss fight with a gentle roar), and the HDMI cable that came with it is longer than my last relationship. I've been playing non-stop, and the console hasn't missed a beat. The graphics are so advanced that my TV now has a permanent case of pixel envy, and the framerate is so high I've started to question whether I'm watching a game or a high-definition documentary about my own reflexes. If you're looking for a gift, this Pro is the perfect blend of awe-inspiring performance and brag-worthy status. Just be prepared for the recipient to start demanding a larger TV, a better sound system, and perhaps a personal assistant to keep up with the visual feast. In short, this thing is a glorious, slightly pricey, gaming behemoth that turns every session into a cinematic event.

My 5yrs old grandsons can work this thing better than me. I am a 67 yrs old retired senior. My plan is to learn how to play the games in my spare time. There a lot of steps to setting up the Pro. There are parental, price and block out outside players guidance. The picture on the PS5 games provides excellent clarity, but not for most of the PS4 games. The sound from the TV is good and would be better with a sound bar. I don't like the static sounds that come from the handheld controllers. I purchased the disk drive for the PS4 games. I think I don't need it because there are plenty of games that can be downloaded from the menu. I noticed there isn't a lot of educational games on the menu for my 5 yrs old grandson, but a lot of games with weapons, knives and guns. This is my first PS, so that is the best review I can provide right now.

Now that I have two console one being a Pro and the other an original digital edition I can't say there's very much a difference to the standard console. For the games that do look good is RE9, FFVII Remake, Spider-Man 1-2, or any current game as of late 25 that push the console. Now this is the only negative I'd give and at the time now, no disc drives attached so unless your a digital person your set to go, anyone with physical discs have to spend another $100 and a stand unless you can go without it or another 30 on that so $1030 for a couple slight game enhancements can wait for a sale. But if you don't have financial issues then this is an ok upgrade from standard it's not gonna blow you away and revitalize your gaming experience.

PlayStation 5 was a game changer when it first hit the market then they made the pro which in my opinion should have been the base ps5 from the jump but you know Sony loves to use cash grabs to consumers and game enthusiasts would recommend this console only downside no disc drive included even more hate towards Sony since they are going full digital 2028 yikes

I bought this console as new $850 but it's clearly used the HDMI cord is visibly used and the controller is visibly used and it has a stick drift.

first of all, walmart shipping sucks. my package was very damaged. if you don't have a tv that supports 4k 120hz (or 60hz) don't bother with the pro. but i enjoy it. gta 6 ready. i mean its the most current console what more do you need.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Powerful enough to run my favorite games like Final Fantasy 14 at top performance. Improved cooling is clutch.

It is what it is. It's a functional PS5 with a slight performance boost. It only plays digital games, no physical disc drive. It's so expensive I would not recommend a purchase unless you are accustomed to poor financial decisions.

This system is easy to set up, connect, and use. The gameplay is smooth and seamless with a decent internet connection. The variety of games available guarantees you won't get bored. The graphics are near PC quality and you can play cross-platform with just about anybody, anywhere.
