Dole bananas - the best

Dole bananas from SAMs seem to always be the freshest bananas anywhere around. I have been known to walk in SAMs and buy nothing but bananas. (I use Scan & Go.) I have noticed at some stores, the banana peelings do not look clean. These at SAMS are perfection! They make the best banana bread and banana pudding out there!

The FRESHEST bananas at a great price!

THE best value for bananas anywhere! We always grab a bunch or two of these bananas each time we visit Sam’s Club. They are NEVER bruised, and I think that the best thing about them is that they’re never overripe, they are sold with plenty of green left on them, so that I can count on them to always last around a week. Plus, the price is unbeatable. We never miss the chance to get our bananas from Sam’s Club!

Pretty green bananas before they ripen

Usually purchase 2 sets of bananas, they usually ripen well I'm eating one set that I choose a little more yellow. The other set is more green waiting to ripen. This time while I ate the first set the second set ripened too quickly. Great for bread pudding or something to be cooked.

No Bananas at Sam’s club.

The banana purchase was a bust. First time ever buying it there. Got a partial bunch of 7 medium sized bananas ( not more than 2 lbs or less ) did a scan & go as a worker prompted me, assisted me with it. I had a two package charge - double of 3lbs price. I was telling her that this is only part of a bunch..probably needs to be weighed. So I paid for 6 lbs for 7 med sized ones. Was too much trouble to to take it back. Will never buy bananas there again.

Too green

Eww. These were green green. We thought that would be ok and we’ll just wait until they yellow up a bit. They never did. They got this weird color and then looked like they were beaten. They weren’t too gross on the inside but definitely not good bananas

Still a little green so they last several days.

The bananas are always fresh and still have some green which I like. They last several days versus the ones the regular grocery stores have that are all yellow and start turning brown right away. I prefer my bananas to be a little on the firm side so these are perfect for me.

Go bananas.

I can't say that Sam's bananas are the best because they all taste about the same to me. However, Sam's price is better than other stores. I do prefer a firm banana, still a little green. I don't like the brown spots that develop way too fast here in Florida. The organic bananas taste a little better to me. If you get the bananas while they're still firm, you can slice them in bite-size pieces and freeze them on a plastic cutting board. Once fully frozen, I dip one side of the banana slices in melted dark chocolate. After all slices are dipped, place back in the freezer. Perfect for snacking. After frozen, the banana slices can also be chopped up and added to ice cream or greek yogurt. Yum!

bananas yum

Fresh... most of the time they are partial green and yellow. I split them 3-4 out on table which gets a little sunlight and the other 3-4 i put in a clear bag handing in my pantry where its dark and cool (where those keep longer) by doing this i can make the bunch last a full 7 days

Poorly handled at club

I had a relative who shipped fruit, and he'd talk about how careful they were not to let bananas below a certain temp because they will go bad, blankets and everything, I believe I understand first hand what he means now! Twice I've gotten bananas and they start very green, however then they go immediately to brown without passing through yellow at any point. If you are looking to bake with them, these will be OK. If you want to eat them, don't bother, they will never be the right ripeness for eating unless you like brown with more brown spots.

Bananas

I buy 2 bunches of bananas at the same time, one with just a little green on it and one that is almost entirely green. I take them home and put them in banana bags in the refrigerator. I eat one every day and each is always in the perfect stage of ripeness when I eat it.
