I give Sams Dole Bananas a 2 just because they dont taste bad but I just dont get why when you buy them green and they stay green they get brown spots and never really turn yellow. Only Sams Bananas for the price and since Im already grocery shoping I get suckered into buying them and end up with freckled green Bananas which is weird taking to work!

The bananas were bought green, so I gave them a few days to ripen, when I went to eat one that was some ripe, it was still a little green but mostly yellow, I peel it back and the banana was mush… I didn’t understand the Process but needless to say I WILL NOT be buying any more from the store as much as I love Sams🙁

Always fresh!!! The best-tasting! Sam's handles them right. And you can't beat a Dole banana! My grandfather ate 1 banana every day as a mid-morning snack. And he'd sometimes eat one in the afternoon if he'd been out exerting quite a bit of energy. Lived at home until 101.

These are a great value and the bananas are just fine...once they ripen. We ordered them through click n pull in advance for a large brunch event, and even though we used every trick we could think of (in paper bags, placed with tomatoes, apples, whatever trick anyone heard that might work), they were still fluorescent green after over two days. My warning is to leave plenty of time before you are going to need them, unless you can find riper ones in person the warehouse.

There are very good bananas; however, as some have mentioned, they ripen quickly. However, a brown banana is NOT a rotten banana—it's actually ripe. (Contrary to popular belief and from a biological standpoint, bananas are under-ripe when yellow, but we really don't want to eat them raw that way.) Anyhow, brown bananas are perfect for banana bread and muffins—and, darn, these bananas make delicious bread!

I used to always get all my bananas here but lately they have not been of the same quality nor the same handling. They are constantly bruised or dark spots all over them and not at the ripe, edible stage very long. I don't know if it's the supplier or the handling in the supply chain but I no longer am buying these at Sam's.

Great price for bananas and is usually are go-to place to get them. However, lately they have been stocking the shelves with VERY unripe bananas that have a lot of dings and bruises. By the time they ripen the bruises and sings are overly ripe and mushy. So, usually a great product at a great price, but quality has not been great lately.

The bananas are firm and a good size. I used them for banana bread and chopped some in a fruit salad, as well as added to smoothies. Good for making ice cream too! Bananas go quickly when you have so many uses for them. A few times I grabbed one for a snack. When nice and spotty I peel and freeze to make homemade ice cream later.

Not sure why I keep buying these. They're usually very solidly green and never turn yellow so you never really know when the ripe I tend to throw them all away most of the time no idea what they're doing with their bananas versus those at the grocery store.

I have been disappointed with the last 2 purchases of bananas for pick up service. The time before last, the bananas were so green they NEVER ripened. They just got brown spots and became mushy. Threw them away. The last time they got a little more ripe but still a big disappointment. Don't think I will try these again unless I pick them out for myself.
