Golden Green Bananas

Bananas. They were green, but not for long. They ripened over night. I enjoyed my banana sandwiches every day for lunch. If you like bananas, you should get some today. Will buy again.

Always a bargain!

Seems silly to buy bananas in the market when you can get 3 pounds for somewhere around $1.40. I share with my daughter as I can't eat them fast enough before they turn all spotted and soft. I buy when they're pretty green.

Get a bunch with fewer but larger bananas

Bunches range from 6-10 bananas. You might want to pick a bunch with fewer but larger bananas because they are all going to get ripe at the same time.

Bananas better for baking?!?

Is it just me or do bananas from Sam’s club go bad way faster than anywhere else. I’ve tried all the tricks. Break them apart, keep them out of the fridge, in the fridge, and away from other fruit. Nothing works. Although I keep buying them because let’s be frank, they are cheaper than other grocery store bananas and cents add up. Now if I was a baker and need bananas to go bad fast for banana bread or banana muffins these are what you need!

Never turn yellow

Great price for these bananas but it's so hard to tell when they are ready to eat. They seem to go from green to spotted green overnight and never turn any shade of yellow. It's hit and miss and i feel there is a lot of waste, i can only freeze so many!

Banana Bunches

Overall, banana's were great. You have to be careful though when you pick your "3lb" banana bunch. Too many times, I'll picked a banana bunch that looked great. Then, when eating you find nasty areas of the peeled banana with no marks on the peeling itself. Some will say that this could happen anywhere you buy bananas, and I agree. It just seems, for me at least, this only happens when I buy bananas from Sam's Club.

Green Freckled Bananas

I give Sams Dole Bananas a 2 just because they dont taste bad but I just dont get why when you buy them green and they stay green they get brown spots and never really turn yellow. Only Sams Bananas for the price and since Im already grocery shoping I get suckered into buying them and end up with freckled green Bananas which is weird taking to work!

We love fresh bananas; some don't.

Hey it's a Banana! Who doesn't love a tasty, pretty banana. Well we all have different taste buds. We like tart crisp bananas. So, we buy the bunch and store in the fridge. This way the center of the banana is smooth and delicious rather than sweet and sometimes mushy. Of course you have to leave out the bunch for a day or so if you buy the all green set of bananas. Pull one off the buch, peel and enjoy, then stuff the bunch in the fridge. There are those in the world who are contrary to our needs and desires that border on really yucky, yet really sweet bananas. Hard to look at with brown or even rotten looking parts of the banana yet they eat it because it tastes really sweet, and this is how they grew up eating bananas. Believe it.

How to Keep Your Bananas from Browning too Soon

Bananas are a quick snack and a great source of potassium. Sometimes they brown too quickly and then they become a delicious banana bread. I discovered an easy way to keep the bananas from browning too quickly. I remove the sticky band surrounding the bananas and wrap it tightly around the stem (not the black tip). Try it, it works!

Enjoyed,, organic bananas purchase

This is my first bunch of organic bananas….. They’re ripening slower than non-organic….. seem to be pretty good, solid, not mushy and larger banana.…. Priced just a little bit higher, but it’s worth it……. Non-organic bananas. ripped so fast…. Regular bananas are a lot smaller.…. . I’m single & 81 years old .. will continue to purchase them thanks
