As a lover of the Le Labo Scents I was curious how this would hold its own to the original and I will say it indeed holds its own and then some. It smells about 96.7% like the Original Santal 33 and stays on the skin longer in my opinion, but without the hefty price tag. I love an OG scent but if you want to venture out and try a few new fragrances without breaking this bank this is it!

I've been really excited to try this one. Santal 33 is a signature fragrance of mine and I have heard good things about Woody Sandalwood. When I first spray this fragrance, it immediately opens with violet, orris, and ambrox. The ambrox isn't overpowering and it lingers pleasantly in the background. I'm instantly reminded of Santal 33. But there is a difference in the top notes. It smells a bit heavier on the florals which gives it a honeyed sweetness, but not gourmand. Within a few minutes, this fades to the familiar woody, musky dry down which the inspired fragrance is famous for. The base notes of sandalwood mix together to give it a dry straw or hay smell which plays remarkably well with the coziness of the musk. Perhaps a little less smokey than the original but it's very subtle. Overall, I'm impressed and happy with this. On my skin, I would have to concentrate very hard to distinguish this from Santal 33. I would certainly consider another bottle of woody sandalwood.

I was skeptical of dossiers sandal 33 at first. But then after reading the reviews I decided to try for myself. And yes its an exact match!!!! Its a super long lasting quality fragrance too- I wore it all night and slept in it and its 2pm the next day and I still smell it on me. I will fully be switching and gifting it to my friend who also wears Santal 33

I purchased the Woody Sandalwood fragrance immediately after smelling a client of mine wearing it! I love the notes within this fragrance, however, I feel the sillage is not very long. I can apply the scent in the morning and within 5-6 hours, I feel the scent has dissipated on me, needing to be reapplied. Im not dissatisfied being the fact that it was inexpensive, but I think there could be improvements made. Overall, Im a happy customer! I will definitely buy more scents in the future!

I give it four stars simply because while it smells great, it does not have the forwardness of sandalwood that I had anticipated. The cardamom is a bit overpowering of the other notes, so it projects as very spicy. I layer it with sandalwood oil to bring out the base of this perfume. I'm keeping it for date night :)

Smells EXACTLY like Santal 33. My coworker was wearing it and I immediately asked her if that was what she was wearing as I had recently discovered the real thing at a very high end resort. The scent lasts all day as I can still smell it when we are leaving at 5pm!

This smells exactly like Le Labo 33 at the top but mellows into something far fresher and lighter, like honeysuckle and tea. The difference is a delicious one and I cant stop smelling myself. Im giving it a 9/10 because I wish there were more darkness to the base, but thats 4.5 stars which rounds up to 5. Well done.

However, I wanted to wait a few days before writing a review. I find that the initial scent is exact to Santal 33, but the smell fades as quickly as if this were an eau de toilette. Maison Lous Marie also has a dupe. It is not the same initial notes that this one has, but the perfume lasts as long as the original Santal 33 and is similar enough to fool anyone. Unfortunately, Le Labo is on a backorder for everything Santal, so I am going to keep this bottle until further notice.

There is a sharply off-putting note in this fragrance that just did not sit well with me, and after watching and reading so many excellent reviews, I was so sad that I did not share the same enthusiasm for this scent with such a cult following! I don't know if it is that my sweet-loving nose just couldn't handle the woody, pickly, dark green, metallic edge, but I had to return this one. I have many others that I love, and know that I will find others that will bring joy and satisfaction!

I wanted to love this one and alllmmosst kept it, but it settled into something a bit headache inducing. I felt like I was trying to escape it after awhile and ended up having to change my shirt from where it had settled into the fabric. Seemed to be the most long lasting of the 5 scents I sampled.
