I overall enjoy this perfume! I am new to the world of perfuming so I guess I misunderstood top, middle, and base notes, so I was very surprised by the amount of spice this perfume gives off. I was enticed by the sandalwood originally, and I layer it with a sandalwood perfume oil. The dry down matches your own scent very well. I'm keeping this for date nights!

I've had this perfume for months now and I knew I would like it because I love Santal 33. IT SMELLED GREAT at first but after a couple months the fragrance changes. I know this can happen if the bottle is left in heat or maybe the sun. I never did this. My bottle has stayed in a AC'd room since I purchased it and has never left my house. It smells nothing like its original scent now. I want to reorder it because I love the original scent but I dont want it to change again after just a few months.

Love this dupe so much. It has completely replaced my Santal 33. HOWEVER,I do feel like this perfume version has like 2% more of a musky aroma that can linger than the santal 33 version. I personally do NOT like musk at all but this is still super tolerable, enjoyable and I get compliments ALL THE TIME.

This is amazing! It lasts all day on me and it smells exactly like the original. You have to know, though, that it is not sweet in any way. It takes a little bit to get used to but I absolutely love it and sometimes layer it with a more fruity scent.

At first I didnt like this unisex perfume and was going to gift it to hubby. However, I quickly learned this is a great base god almost any perfume. Ive even used body spray on top of this perfume and it tempers the masculinity just enough for me to fall in love with it.

Ive never smelled the original so it may or may not be the same. Apparently I am one of those people for whom it smells like pickles. Ive read that the original has the same effect on some people. Hoped for more comforting creaminess but got pickles in a cedar chest.

The warm and unique scent caught my attention right away! I was walking past a coworker who had just purchased it. I told her I wanted to follow her around!! A month or so later we were celebrating a milestone and she surprised me with a bottle of my own!!! What a treat! Its different from anything Ive ever worn before. I love it and get compliments when I wear it as well.

My body chemistry does not like this fragrance at all! I loved the smell of Santal 33 on a co-worker and got this dupe since the original was so expensive. I sprayed it on a paper first, and didn't think it was anything like Santal 33. Sprayed it on myself and regretted it all day! It smells so masculine on me, and my husband jabbed at me all day. The positive is that it does last all day. So if this works for you, you will love it. I will be returning this.

Its not my absolute favorite but I like the scent and appreciate that its different from what I usually wear. However I will have to return it because my wife, uh.... despises it. She physically recoiled the first time I wore it and she thinks it smells like cedar pellets and urine?? Maybe shes out of her mind but either way, this perfume will have to go, sadly. I really like the scent and could potentially try and let my wife adjust and see if she can tolerate it but Id rather not have my wife think I smell like pee. However, the Dossier original Orchid and sandalwood at dusk is incredible, has a strong sandalwood note, and my wife does NOT think it smells like cedar pellets and urine. I got a sample of it and I loved it so its looking like Ill probably do an exchange so Ill still have a sandalwood centered perfume. Sad this one didnt work out, it smells amazing (to me). Averaging my review: 4 stars from me and 1 star from my wife, but Im the one with the keyboard so I say three stars.

The initial spritz is VERY cedar forward, but what it develops into is mesmerizing. I actually like this better than the Le Labo version, in my experience its longer lasting and richer, also the price point is amazing. It is definitely one of those perfumes that just doesnt mesh with everyones chemistry, but if it does its amazing. I get compliments every time I wear it, hands down my favorite.
