This was a good, tasty and moist Red Velvet cake. It is quite large so it went a long way and served several people.

My family and I absolutely love this Red Velvet Cake from Sam's!!! This cake only costs $20!!! I've paid a lot more for a cake that tastes just the same as this one. We got one last year for our Christmas Eve supper, and it was delicious!!! We even got two for this years Christmas Eve!!! We plan on freezing one to have for Easter since they are only sold during Christmas.

This is not the Red Velvet Cake that I am accustomed to getting from Sam's during the holidays. It is a terrible substitute, and I'm so disappointed with this purchase. I should have realized it was off when I saw how it was decorated compared to the past ones I've purchased. The delicious, rich flavor of the cake they used to have is gone, replaced by watered down flavor. Even the color of the cake seems wrong. The texture of the cake is something between airy and crumbly and the frosting seemed overwhipped. This purchase felt like a waste of good money and calories.

The Red Velvet Cake of yesteryear is forever gone. What has taken its place is a pretty decorated, horrible tasting, and regrettable purchase. The current Red Velvet Cake that is for sale at your local Sam's Club should be labeled, “for desperate purchase only.” It's sad to say that the cake purchases at Sam's has dwindled down considerably.

My family has bought the red velvet cake from Sam's every year for the past four years for Christmas. This is not that cake. This cake is dry and depressing. The frosting is also dry and coming off the cake in sheets as I'm cutting it. Bring back the old cake! I will not be repurchasing until the old one comes back.

I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to write a review on this horrible tasting cake. I have looked forward every year to purchase what was once one of the best tasting red velvet cakes for the price. Apparently, Sam's has changed the cake to this cheap terrible tasting imposter. If I could leave a 0 star for this cake I would. How disappointing that Sam's would sell this to their members.

I always get a red velvet cake at Christmas, didn't last year but had one delivered Sat 12/20. So I don't know if these cakes were like this last year or not. Anyhow, we went ahead and got into it and thankfully we did instead of waiting for Christmas Day. If you didn't know it's called Red Velvet you wouldn't know what you were eating. It's nothing like they were before. It's bland tasting like I took a bite of a cardboard box. Kinda like taking a bite of a block of lard. Lol! I don't know how else to explain it. Maybe someone else has a better explanation for it. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

This cake is so moist and delicious.
