There is no substitute for bluebell ice cream, vanilla homemade. I've tried many other brands and they just don't cut the mustard. This ice cream reminds me of what we used to use with our old hand, cranked mountain house ice cream churn. And it's worth every penny to me to get that kind of ice cream. There are too many companies, literally making ice cream out of other things and then they call it. A dessert treat.. so yes, I highly recommend this ice cream.

Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla is my favorite ice cream for making Nana's brownie sundaes at home. It's rich, creamy, and has that classic vanilla flavor that goes perfectly with a warm brownie, whipped cream, and whatever toppings I'm in the mood for. It turns a simple homemade dessert into a real treat, and the texture stays smooth and delicious from the first scoop to the last. And most importantly, my grandkids love when I make brownie sundae's for them.

This is a great flavor which is my favorite. I love to add flavors to my bowl of vanilla. I use powder peanut butter sometimes or strawberry yogurt to make it take flavored. Sooo good.

Literally the best ice cream on the shelf. You cannot beat blue bell. I've ate it since I was a very young child. I will always love this stuff. I was bummed when they stopped selling it years ago! As soon as it was back on the shelf I grabbed some up!!

I love blue bell ice cream - just a bit too pricey is my only complaint. Unfortunately I never see Edy's ice cream at Walmarts which was all I bought for years. Speaking of ice cream - for the love of God get rid of turkey hill. That crap shouldn't even be called ice cream. It's awful. Blue bell is fantastic in taste by far. In my opinion, it's comparable to Edy's - maybe a little better

Blue Bell vanilla ice cream is the all time favorite brand that my Dad absolutely loves. Because it's a regional brand and not National the only time both he and my Mom can enjoy it is when they are in the south. I'm almost positive that they are welcomed with a container at each of the homes that they visit during their vacation. I have enjoyed the vanilla myself but because it has ingredients that I can have, I don't eat it anymore. I haven't recently checked the ingredient list of the other flavors so I'm not going to elaborate on that.

Oh my goodness. You can't ask for a better tasting ice cream. Really and I'm almost 80. This is my husband's favorite and all our company for supper too. The only thing that makes it taste better. Chocolate syrup and chopped walnuts and whipped cream on top. Oh, oh, this will make an almost 80 lady do things she can't write on a review. Try it you'll see. Believe me. Hallelujah and no limit on the number of ice cream piled on top. Oh and maybe a chopped banana too!!

reminds me of when we use to make ice cream in a small coffee can, inside a bigger coffee can. (When they were metal) the cans were seperated by salt and ice, and you rolled that can as much as you could! then you got a friend to roll it to, and they would roll it back. yeah. that finished product. little pricy but i guess it depends on how bad or often you want that taste.

Horrible. I'm glad I got one before they started to rip everyone off. Don't waste your money. It is not firm like it used to be. Not previous recipe. Made my stomach swell w non release gases yuck. Some products have not changed their recipe but are giving smaller portions with more price. NOT BLUE BELL.. VERY DISAPPOINTED
