The unit is very sleek looking and the case appears sturdy. Setup was easy. The only negative when using to smoke my ribs was that while the instructions suggest wrapping my ribs in foil, the probe connection distance is reduced dramatically. Even the unit itself states that communication can be limited by foil and other barriers between the probe and the base unit. I had to place the base with 5 feet of my smoker in order to receive a signal.

I've used my daughters while visiting her. She's in Arizona were due to the heat, no one cooks indoors from May to October! With this unit you stay inside out of the heat and same if a monsoon comes through. (One hiccup though, I tried to register via the QR code, I kept getting an error stating "Direct Link" is not a valid choice.)

My son gave me the ChefIQ Smart Thermometer for Fathers Day in 2024. And I love it! I do a LOT of smoking with a Traeger smoker and the struggle I've always had is monitoring the temperature. The Smart Thermometer makes it easy for me to monitor the meat temperature from anywhere! As an example...I was smoking a big ole Brisket for Mothers Day...and was worried that it might get done early and catch me while I was at church. That worry went away when I was able to pull out my phone and use the ChefIQ app to see the temp on the meet! The Docking STation that comes with it is also fantastic as it has audio alerts with a voice that gives me alerts such as letting me know when I need to wrap the meat. I have had two issues with my unit...however ChefIQs support is fantastic! A few emails back and forth and my problems were solved! I highly recommend this unit!

I gave this as a gift to my boyfriend.,,,,, he is in love with it. We have a table top grill. He's used it on all types of meat, pork steak ribs & just recently grilled red fish & can I just say barbecue has never been so good.,,,,, using the app with the probes, the cooking is 100% spot on along with the resting time, meat is more tender then expected. It is a must have for one who likes to grill but is not an expert,,, works with ease.

Love this product. Easily connected to my wifi. Great phone app and features. Charts ambient temp of inside grill as well as internal temp progress of meat and notifications. Set parameter notifications for ambient high and low range temps. Great price. I wouldn't be without it!

Unboxing was quite exciting! Just opening it was almost like opening an Apple product! Very organized and visually appealing! I like the fact that it has 2 probes so that me and my wife can cook our steaks at the same time with 2 different doneness! Can't wait to give it a try!

The box wasn’t clear and I misunderstood the meaning of “sensors” vs “probes”. The box says 5 sensors, and I interpreted as 5 probes. It’s only 2 probes that each have 5 sensors on the probes. Maybe a great feature but I really thought I was getting to stick 5 steaks! Turns out I can buy another probe but only one more with this 2 probe set. So… buy the set that supports the number of probes you want up front. Other than seeing the two probes in the packaging, there was nothing printed to say “Contains 2 Probes”. I really thought there were 3 more in the box. But 5 sensors was printed prominently on the box several times. Confusing.

QR code goes to sign up page, text, and email, then 10% off purchase. Once navigated to that point you get several options of serial numbers, none of which match, and no model number to enter. THEN, you get this review page. A simpler way to register would be appreciated.

I have had a set of these temperature probes for a little over a year. The probes only stay charged for a couple hours now. Initially they worked great, now I can’t count on them for any longer cooking time; smoking. Support at IQ isn’t responding.
