Didn’t want to go through the hassle of putting a window unit in so we thought we’d try this portable in a small bedroom. We love Midea brand but this portable did not bring the temperature down enough to make it comfortable. Barely got it to go below 80. Will be returning to Sam’s and purchasing a U shaped window unit for this room. We’ll have to go elsewhere as Sam’s does not carry them. Go the extra step and just get a window unit if you have a window that will work. The U shaped ones are the best and very quiet.

It blows cold air! It is way louder than I wanted it to be. It has this high pitch noise that doesn't go away. It is upstairs in my guest room/craft room and I recently haven't been in there much but I've went in there 2 times and the vent/window cover had fallen out of the window and was sitting on the floor. After the first time, I got the window real tight and thought problem solved but I guess I need to tape it in place so it doesn’t happen again.

I have this AC set up in a small bedroom, and it is pretty loud. In addition to the loud airflow noise, this air conditioner produces a constant cricket-like chirping sound that is very annoying.

I was really let down on the size of this thing until I turned it on and was blown away how well it works. Midea is my new favorite brand and well worth the price. Can only imagine these other bad reviews were either defective or they didn’t open up the giant manual book.

SO LOUD. I expected it to be loud, but this alternates between noises. Most of the time it’s a jarring mechanical noise. We were using this in the bedroom and while some of the time the noise is ok, the rest of the time it makes it impossible to sleep. It does cool down the room, so it at least does its job. We have a large Midea that works great without the noise, sad this was not like that one. Will be returning.

Machine is either making an obnoxious humming noise or a chirping noise. Both are extremely annoying and make it impossible to sleep. Already returned once, guess I’ll be returning again.

Not only was I extremely ecstatic , but I was also very thankful that this was happening. I highly recommend the air conditioner. It's small yet mighty. Worth every single penny!

Given our limited space, it fits perfect in our house and cools down our dining room super fast! With it being portable, we can move it to any room we are in and need to cool down. Excited to use this all summer long! And best of all; it has a remote!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the privilege of getting the midea 7100 btu smart air conditioner and i have to say i am impressed!!! It does live up to the hype. What i love about it is the fact that it has a humidifier attached to it!!! Like are you kidding me!! What truly won me over was the fact that I cannot hear the machine once its on. It gets cold very fast!! The box says it covers up to 300 ft but I feel it does more than that. The instructions were very concise which made installation a breeze. I am a woman and I was able to lift it out of the box..not to heavy. It comes with a remote which is perfect for when I dont want to use the control panels on the unit. Overall id give it a 10/10 definitely recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Midea 7k btu is a beautiful portable AC! It just hit 75 degrees so it was a great chance to hook it up and review it. It’s a bit heavy (expected) but easy to move around and very durable. It’s a cute portable AC meaning it’s not big and bulky that takes up a lot of space in your living room/bed room. We are left very pleased with our claim and will be used this summer. We’re excited to have her hooked up and keeping us cool🧊. It cooled down my living room pretty quickly.
