Works great for one bedroom. Easy to use and install. Easy to move around to different rooms. Great emergency AC. Cheaper than most.

Pretty easy to set up and cools nicely. I like its portability and easier to put away and store compared to a window unit.

Perfect for small offices great price and availability

It blows cold air! It is way louder than I wanted it to be. It has this high pitch noise that doesn't go away. It is upstairs in my guest room/craft room and I recently haven't been in there much but I've went in there 2 times and the vent/window cover had fallen out of the window and was sitting on the floor. After the first time, I got the window real tight and thought problem solved but I guess I need to tape it in place so it doesn't happen again.

I have used these portable air conditioners in the past and never had any issues. I am not sure if it was just the unit we bought, or if it is common for all. We tried this on multiple configurations and were never able to get it to work correctly. It did cool. In fact it cooled SO much that it was freezing. The unit never turned off. The remote and the unit were never in line with each other. It put so much humidity in the air that everything was wet. We switched to the dry mode and it poured water out the hose. The hose was outside so it didn't hurt anything, but again, the unit was cold and ran continuously. It was quiet. It blew cold air. Maybe it is intended to operate this way, but it did not work for us. Thankfully Sam's is wonderful at accepting refunds and were wonderful.

A decent A/C unit for a small room at a decent price

SO LOUD. I expected it to be loud, but this alternates between noises. Most of the time it’s a jarring mechanical noise. We were using this in the bedroom and while some of the time the noise is ok, the rest of the time it makes it impossible to sleep. It does cool down the room, so it at least does its job. We have a large Midea that works great without the noise, sad this was not like that one. Will be returning.

I was really let down on the size of this thing until I turned it on and was blown away how well it works. Midea is my new favorite brand and well worth the price. Can only imagine these other bad reviews were either defective or they didn’t open up the giant manual book.

Didn't want to go through the hassle of putting a window unit in so we thought we'd try this portable in a small bedroom. We love Midea brand but this portable did not bring the temperature down enough to make it comfortable. Barely got it to go below 80. Will be returning to Sam's and purchasing a U shaped window unit for this room. We'll have to go elsewhere as Sam's does not carry them. Go the extra step and just get a window unit if you have a window that will work. The U shaped ones are the best and very quiet.

Nothing like the larger 10,000 btu units. Hard to believe they made by same company. Thrown together without much thought. Air blows to the far left of unit with only vertical adjustment. Fans throws water vapor into room and really raises humidity levels. Rear of unit gets hot and puts off a smokey smell after unit turns off. Single hose setup causes unit to pull the cool air out of the room and blow it outside. The condenser cooling fan and the cool air fan do not work independently so even when just in fan mode, its loud. Overall much louder than 10,000 btu unit.
