[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the midea portable AC unit in my in law suite/office area, and it's working pretty well so far. The weather here has been all over the place lately, ranging from 10 degrees to 60 degrees in a matter of days so I've been using the fan and auto features mostly. It handles my space with high ceilings pretty well. It's not too loud for an indoor unit, but it could be a little quieter. It's noticeable when it's running but not obnoxiously. I'm not really into the smart apps/features so I haven't dove into that part of the unit yet, but I like it has the option if I'd like to utilize down the road. There are quite a few options but the controls are straightforward and easy to use. It seems to be doing a good job keeping the temperature comfortable. Solid unit overall.

Wondered if this small package would be powerful enough for our bedroom. Realize it is early in the year, but it blows cold. Really like the ability to control the AC with my iPhone.

I have a 300sq house and ive been having a hard time getting to be below 85. This guy has been keeping my house at an amazing 68 degrees non stop!

I wasn't initially sure I would like this unit, but now I do. Easy to move around because it is on wheels...I thought I would have to drag it around. Wheels are great! In addition, it came with everything you could possibly need to fit the exhaust to an outside window. Super clean looking. Cools very nicely, thermostat allows unit to cycle on and off as needed after temperature setting is reached which saves power. Highly recommend for small rooms. It is in our primary bedroom where our central air had trouble cooling.

Cools the room down fast. Is a little loud so I don't recommend it for a room with light sleepers. Worth the money.

I have always had a window air conditioner and always had issues installing it. They never fit properly, but this floor model is perfect and so easy to install.

Pretty easy to set up and cools nicely. I like its portability and easier to put away and store compared to a window unit.

It blows cold air! It is way louder than I wanted it to be. It has this high pitch noise that doesn't go away. It is upstairs in my guest room/craft room and I recently haven't been in there much but I've went in there 2 times and the vent/window cover had fallen out of the window and was sitting on the floor. After the first time, I got the window real tight and thought problem solved but I guess I need to tape it in place so it doesn't happen again.

There is no convenient way to put the condensation line our the window without attempting to cut the plastic it came with. I put a large mixing bowl to catch any condensation and checked it the SECOND day and it had overflowed quite a bit into my upstairs room carpet. I have disconnected and am attempting at this point to dry out the carpet. I had no idea there would be this much condensation from the line and would assume there would be some method listed in the instructions or a spot to place outside too the exterior in the hardware that came with.

I have used these portable air conditioners in the past and never had any issues. I am not sure if it was just the unit we bought, or if it is common for all. We tried this on multiple configurations and were never able to get it to work correctly. It did cool. In fact it cooled SO much that it was freezing. The unit never turned off. The remote and the unit were never in line with each other. It put so much humidity in the air that everything was wet. We switched to the dry mode and it poured water out the hose. The hose was outside so it didn't hurt anything, but again, the unit was cold and ran continuously. It was quiet. It blew cold air. Maybe it is intended to operate this way, but it did not work for us. Thankfully Sam's is wonderful at accepting refunds and were wonderful.
