[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son requested this after I complained about the noise from his tennis ball and other “indoor” balls. Because this is made from foam it ever goes outside so I don’t mind that he walked around the house dribbling.

This ball is a lifesaver! My son constantly dribbles in the house and it drives me crazy! I saw a kid playing with this in Wal-Mart and immediately added it to my cart as I was in line. It was a Christmas gift but since it has been opened, it has been a daily gift to my ears. I am truly happy with this purchase!

Poor quality. My son used this product for its intended use. To be able to play in the house without the loud sound of a traditional ball. After 3 months of use the ball started to deteriorate, tiny pieces of the foam are all over the house when he tries to use it still. And he says it’s too uncomfortable and feels weird on his hands now so he’s given up using it altogether. I’ve had no luck with getting in touch with the “correct” manufacturer to see about a replacement item and Walmart has been absolutely no help. My son is 13 so I’m sure he has a lot of force when bouncing the ball, but you don’t see traditional basketballs, being destroyed from teenage or adult usage. Perhaps this would be great for a younger smaller child who does not plan to play often or whom does not have as much strength as my child. Nevertheless, I thought I would leave a review so parents know what to expect.

Great concept. It truly is silent and bounces well for a foam ball. My son loves playing with it. HOWEVER the quality is just not there. After about 3 weeks the foam completely broke down and it is shedding tiny foam bits whenever it's used. Now the integrity of the ball is lost.

Basketball was great and my son used it nonstop. HOWEVER, after about a month of use I kept finding little orange pieces all over the house. I finally figured out the ball was “shedding” its foam! Once the shed started, it only got worse and the basketball had to go to the trash. My son was disappointed because it was a great basketball…until it wasn’t.

This ball was a huge hit at Christmas. The most loved item my son received. However, two after dribbling for hours on end each day, it started to peel. 6 weeks later it has shedded all over the house. Still bouncing it’s a mess. Would love to find one that doesn’t disintegrate.

bought these silent basketball foams for my son to use indoors, and they’ve been a total win! The foam is dense enough to feel like a real basketball but soft enough not to damage walls, furniture, or ears. No more pounding sounds echoing through the house just quiet, happy dribbling.

The concept of this ball is great. It bounces quiet enough to not disturb anyone in the house. My son will stand and dribble this ball for a long time while watching tv. However, he got this ball for Christmas and within a week of bouncing inside (on laminate flooring) the foam started to come off in little pieces. It still bounces (although not as good) but it leaves a complete mess in the floor. We really like it but it should last longer.

"I have to say, in my mind a foam basketball could never bounce high enough for me (I am 6'4"") and just wouldn't be able to compare even slightly to a normal rubber basketball. Boy was I happy to be wrong. I gave this ball as a gift to my son who is 5 and wants to play basketball terribly. He loves it and is extremely happy

l got two of these balls, one for each of my youngest grandsons. They love them!!! They got lots of toys and games, but they rarely touch them. They go for the balls first thing and play with them all throughout the day. An extremely great investment!!!
