Works exactly has described. My two bball boys love it. It’s the size of a regular basketball. I purchased in store to avoid any deformity caused by shipping. It is spongy but bounces and passes just like a regular basketball. Though it is much quieter than a bball inside your house. It does give a slight thump when you dribble. But it’s not bad at all. I highly recommend this product and even went back to the store to buy a second one days later when my 2 boys wouldn’t stop competing for the one. One son never set his down and it did have more wear than the other - even though it’s not pretty anymore it still does the job. I was skeptical before purchasing but I’m so glad I did.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son requested this after I complained about the noise from his tennis ball and other “indoor” balls. Because this is made from foam it ever goes outside so I don’t mind that he walked around the house dribbling.

I have to admit I was hesitant to purchase because we all know about kids playing ball in the house! This basketball caught the eye of my son so I thought we'd give it a try. It's pretty amazing. It's not completely silent, of course but silent enough for me. It has great bounce and is a good size. Makes a great gift!

"I have to say, in my mind a foam basketball could never bounce high enough for me (I am 6'4"") and just wouldn't be able to compare even slightly to a normal rubber basketball. Boy was I happy to be wrong. I gave this ball as a gift to my son who is 5 and wants to play basketball terribly. He loves it and is extremely happy

I read the reviews before buying this and I am glad I did!! It isn't completely quiet but it has kept 2 teenagers occupied for hours in the house! They actually share the basketball. I would describe it has a more firm foam basketball with bounce. I plan to buy the soccer ball version next.

absolutely LOVE this basketball! I got this for my super active sports loving 5 year old. The sound is almost non existent and he can dribble his little heart out. This has cut down on the amount of loud noise in my busy house! Super thankful for this!

Poor quality. My son used this product for its intended use. To be able to play in the house without the loud sound of a traditional ball. After 3 months of use the ball started to deteriorate, tiny pieces of the foam are all over the house when he tries to use it still. And he says it’s too uncomfortable and feels weird on his hands now so he’s given up using it altogether. I’ve had no luck with getting in touch with the “correct” manufacturer to see about a replacement item and Walmart has been absolutely no help. My son is 13 so I’m sure he has a lot of force when bouncing the ball, but you don’t see traditional basketballs, being destroyed from teenage or adult usage. Perhaps this would be great for a younger smaller child who does not plan to play often or whom does not have as much strength as my child. Nevertheless, I thought I would leave a review so parents know what to expect.

Great in theory, but I wouldn’t use this full time. The loud basketballs have more weight, which encourages stronger dribbling. The lighter foam is quieter, of course, but the cost of it will be weaker handling for beginner players. I would stick to a regular basketball or even, a heavy basketball to improve skills, or only use this to supplement reps.

My son got this for Christmas and has played with it everyday. It has lasted less than a month. The ball had started shedding the foam all over the floor and furniture. We had to throw it away today because while he was playing with it, a piece of the foam got in his eye from the ball. Would really like to replace it with another, since he loved it so much. But now it’s dangerous to use.

My son loved playing with this basketball, and my husband loved that it was almost soundless. But it only lasted few weeks and now i have tiny bits of orange foam all over my home and clothes (especially kids socks), which is hard to renove (especially on carpet and socks).
