This is a pretty cool ball. It is pretty close to measuring the same size as a regulation sized men’s basketball. My daughter has loved using it during the cold winter months when she is stuck inside. It’s not completely “silent” but it’s so much better than the real ball bouncing in the house!

Basketball was great and my son used it nonstop. HOWEVER, after about a month of use I kept finding little orange pieces all over the house. I finally figured out the ball was “shedding” its foam! Once the shed started, it only got worse and the basketball had to go to the trash. My son was disappointed because it was a great basketball…until it wasn’t.

My son has been passionate about basketball since he was 1 years old. He's currently 13. He goes to the court rain or shine, and practices his shots every day. He's always dribbling and breaking ankles with an invisible ball through the house, so why not invest in a silent basketball. I felt like this was a great gift for him, maybe the best gift. His handles and shots have improved quite a bit. I can barely tell he's using the ball in the house. I will be getting another one for my oldest daughter.

Great in theory, but I wouldn’t use this full time. The loud basketballs have more weight, which encourages stronger dribbling. The lighter foam is quieter, of course, but the cost of it will be weaker handling for beginner players. I would stick to a regular basketball or even, a heavy basketball to improve skills, or only use this to supplement reps.

The concept of this ball is great. It bounces quiet enough to not disturb anyone in the house. My son will stand and dribble this ball for a long time while watching tv. However, he got this ball for Christmas and within a week of bouncing inside (on laminate flooring) the foam started to come off in little pieces. It still bounces (although not as good) but it leaves a complete mess in the floor. We really like it but it should last longer.

Love that it’s quiet as my toddlers are just learning how to use a basketball and are using it mainly inside right now. I was a little sad by the bounce not being so prevalent when I tried using it myself. At least my kids will get the rhythm down and then we can switch to a leather ball when they’re a cpl yrs older and more coordinated.

Works exactly has described. My two bball boys love it. It’s the size of a regular basketball. I purchased in store to avoid any deformity caused by shipping. It is spongy but bounces and passes just like a regular basketball. Though it is much quieter than a bball inside your house. It does give a slight thump when you dribble. But it’s not bad at all. I highly recommend this product and even went back to the store to buy a second one days later when my 2 boys wouldn’t stop competing for the one. One son never set his down and it did have more wear than the other - even though it’s not pretty anymore it still does the job. I was skeptical before purchasing but I’m so glad I did.

I ordered this ball for my son for his Dec 12th birthday so he began playing with it bouncing it around the 12th by Christmas Day the outer coating wore off of the ball and it is breaking down like a piece of foam does It does still function but most likley I will need to replace it soon because it eventually will have nothing left
