I have used TT for many years because I liked the Q and A format and the ability to have TT do all the calculations. However, one thing that I have always resented is the inability to easily print the information on a TT screen that I was working on. I don't understand why TT will not allow a customer to do this. Regarding TT expert assistance, I was unable to find the option I was interested in, which lies somewhere between asking a question and having an expert prepare my entire return. What I wanted was to prepare the return myself, and then have an expert review the entire return with me and identify any issues that I may have missed.

I could not download info from my financial institutions with 2025 version. Last years version worked. The 2025 version was more difficult to use that the 2024 and previous versions. Did you hire some microsoft people to goof up your software like they do for every new version of windows?

I have three suggestions which I think may make the software and filing better. 1. Set the form 1040E sheets so they print at the top of the first page, bottom of the second, top of the third, bottom of the fourth so that when someone prints the tax return double-sided, they will print on the top of the front and bottom of back of one page. 2. Set a reminder at the end when ready to file to remember to enter your annual government-assigned PIN if you have one and even provide a link to enter it since it's a little obscure. I know it was user error at midnight, I thought I had, and my return was rejected. Just would lessen frustration users already have over this annual task and maybe would result in fewer calls to your help desk. 3. When entering all the items for charity, could you repeat the date of gift in the next entry so that doesn't have to be entered for every item. Then allow for a change of date if necessary for the next 'delivery,' and repeat that date since there usually is more than one item given to a charity, and multiple times during a year. Also, I miss It's Deductible. Can you be more friendly with Edge. VERY frustrating trying to connect to my two investment firms this year and had to research what to unclick which took a while. Thank you.

I will be actively looking for opportunities to ditch turbotax next year for your unethical business practices. I purchased premier desktop with a $25 fee for state efile. When starting it prompted me to select online and said it was free after finishing, to file would have cost me 270 dollars. So I went to desktop and was unable to import my completed return so I redid it on desktop and when I went to file the option to pay with a card was not working (probably a turbotax policy) so I had to pay an additional $40 to use the refund to pay and amazingly that worked, who would have thought. I think there are now better options than turbo tax.

The online version was awful. I will never try that again. I will stick with the desktop version. I have the desktop version and gave the online version a try. The online version said I owed over $12K!!! That was not the case. It missed critical deductions. Simple ones like mortgage interest.

Not very clear when Form 1095-A is entered, but Form 8962 doesn't appear and there was payment from taxpaper for few months and HRA account was used to pay for other months. Even the community postings are not clear enough. Processing of tax returns was not as smooth as other years, took a long time for the research with no clear direction as to what to do.

Turbo Tax is an easy to use program for most tax situations. I used it 4 times this year for our filing and for family members. I've used it for over 30 years, so I am a fan. Once you get into more complex tax situations it starts to fall short. I have two examples: Annualizing income to reduce estimated tax penalties and foreign tax credits. Most people will not encounter these situations. It is very complicated to calculate all the dividends, short, and long term capital gains etc to enter the required data for 3 different time periods. Since I downloaded my broker transactions the information is actually available to the program, at least for the most complex cases which are the stock sales. It would be great if Turbo Tax did the hard work and performed this calculation. The second is in claiming the credit for foreign taxes (specifically the foreign taxes paid on dividends from non US company investments). An "explanation" is required for one field but it is totally unclear how the number is calculated so writing an explanation is impossible. I had to ask Google, and their AI tool was helpful.

I have used TurboTax for many years; I love how the software walks you through each step in preparing the taxes and suggesting entries to maximize the tax refund due. .I, also love the review at the end to make sure everything is complete and accurate.

I've been using TurboTax since 2002. For the most part I find it easy to use, but some subjects could use more elaboration. It has never steered me wrong and I believe it has helped me get the correct rebate or payment I was entitled to receive/pay. I've used it for both my federal and state taxes. I prefer the desktop app, just not sure I am ready to do this all online as I find the desktop app more convenient.

I have used Turbo Tax for almost 15 years and have enjoyed how user friendly it is for me, someone who is neither tax nor computer savvy. There have rarely been hoops to jump through that I couldn't navigate. But the big one this year was asking for an amount in box 16a for the 1099-Rs I was filing when the 1099-Rs had no box 16a and box 16 was blank. Thank goodness for AI giving me an acceptable solution or I don't know how I would have been able to file. In the future I hope Turbo Tax won't have glitches like this for people like myself.
