Works as well as advertised, and I recommend it.

Product is easy to use, is accurate, and compatible with my windows 11 system. Had a little trouble at the end, it wouldn't update when I first signed on to efile, but it did update after I opened the return and attempted to efile. It accepted the update. I didn't need any support this time. On balance, it worked out well up to this point.

K-1 suggestion

Generally, well organized and thorough. Long time user of TurboTax and recommend it often. K-1 filing might be better organized for those who deal with these filings only once a year. In my case, the K-1 received has for the last several years both Box 1 and Box 2 entries, which means I must complete the Q/A twice, once for Box 1 and relevant Box info and a second time for Box 2 and relevant info. If correct (a big if), certain of the Box 3+ entries pertain to Box 1 supporting info and others pertain to Box 2 supporting info. If all entries can entered once, users might avoid both the tedium and anxiety regarding whether the entries are correct.

Very disappointed with TT this year - downloads

Number 1 issue was downloading data from my banks and financial institutions. This was a major pain and took many hours to resolve/work around. Even after TT modified software I still had to copy URL from my default browser (Edge) into Google Chrome to get it to download. Don't understand why TT requires dividends, interest and foreign taxes paid to be broken down by 4 date ranges...For the most part that data is available from my financial institutions downloads.

More Difficult to Navigate Than Previous Years

I have used Turbo Tax for many, many years. I found this year, where it seems you were trying to simplify it, made it more difficult to enter info. And why would you assume most people don't do estimated taxes. Many of us do and I had to go find where I could enter it.

Good Product

Simple, easy to use - good instructions, helpful working through new tax situations not previously encountered or thought about that do come with life changes. Calculations have always been accurate even if they pointed to painful amounts of additional taxes due; did have occasional surprise refunds ;-)

More work needed for MO state filings

1) Was not able to submit via e-file additional information MO requests to document and support qualified health care premiums. If you complete the additional information support form, it should be filed with the MO Form 5695. 2) Regarding credit card payment of the $25 MO E-Filing fee, the credit card expiration date box would not display the months of "11" or "12" and scrolling or direct entry did not work. After attempting various alternative methods to select "11", I gave up and had to use a different credit card. This should be BASIC function of your software, very disappointing.

Lots of Time Wasted

Yesterday I did a quick review but did not articulate some of the problems. 1. In my folder there are multiple files for the same tax return. Type is TurboTax 2025 document. In previous years never had this occur. 2. If I have a file that I am working on but saved then later restart TurboTax and after an Update, the my Tax Return with Continue button does not show. I have to go to File and Open Tax Return. This is never occurred w previous years 3. Over the years I had at least 3 different TurboTax accts. I never took time or had the info from prior years handy to keep using the same acct. This year it bit me. Took a long, frustrating journey to get handle on the two most recent acct IDs and Passwords. Yes my self inflicted situation, but wish there was a more better way to deal with getting a handle on this maybe consolidating accounts. 3. At some point things were not going well. I used the Help which directed me to and article or something that recommended getting an update which I had to invoke. The update appeared to be the entire program updated. But things worked better. Not great. 4. Some of the phrases or language used is not specific enough. The most difficult for me was a SSA-1099 lump sum provided in 2025 for year 2024. The explanation and help for this was not very helpful. The Community Help was a bit better, but I still did not have a full grasp of the logic tree for the way it is handled based of various metrics. When I looked at the worksheet form my eyes rolled up in my head. The IRS is getting too complex which makes your job more difficult. 5. I talked to two support people (for program not tax info). I started via Chat help and then selected call. I held for 25 min or so for the first tech person who I could ne hear well due to her phone connect or whatever. She said she was making adjustments and next thing I was disconnected. Called again and another 20 min wait and got Allen. Allen did great. He listened very well, even some whining then proceeded to help. It lead to sharing my screen. Bottom line he got me and things straight. 6. Bottomline I put in an huge amount of time in dealing with 2025 TurboTax Desktop Premium. So much so I am thinking of going to a local preparer or HR Block program next year.

Turbo Tax is a godsend!

Turbo Tax Premier helps me figure out how to report investments accurately. The rest of my tax information is fairly easy but the investments always stumped me. I feel that I am receiving the highest refund I am entitled to (or paying the lowest tax necessary).

Hidden fees at the very end

I didn't like that I had to pay additional fees at the end to file my state tax return. That should've been disclosed up front. And it keeps on trying to bill my for the audit defense program when I wanted to opt out. Feels very bait and switch. Or I was force to pay the final fees at the end to file.

Completion of IRS Form 1116

Turbo tax is unclear and confusing when completing the form Form 1115 on Foreign Tax Credit. While it request info by country where foreign tax is paid in subsequent sheets it does not allow entry by individual country even though up to 4 can be included. Result is that I had to do summary of all and list as Various. Also there are NO prompts or instruction on completing the reconciliation of this form. This is very frustrating and it is not clear whether the form are properly completed and proper credit received.
