Everything was great until I got to Foreign Tax Credit. Your instructions were a little to brief. You mentioned that their was 3 ways to handle it and you only gave instruction on 2. Trhe missing one was what to do when the total tax was less than $600.

Ugly interface, and buggy, too. Crashed multiple times on an up-to-date Mac and somehow forgot to ask multiple state-required questions by the end so I had to go back and manually answer them. Multiple tax forms that I needed did not appear so I had to search manually. Even simple text input while writing this review is bugging out. And they have the gall to keep trying to squeeze extra money out of you throughout the process. I'm disgusted and will use the much more easy-to-use free options that are now available. I didn't speak with anyone at TurboTax. My concern is that when I was ready to transmit our returns there were 2 errors to fix before I could transmit returns successfully. Why wasn't this corrected in the review section before I got to screen that said everything looked good and ready for sending the returns? I never experienced this fault in all the years I have been using TurboTax. Thank you

Had a slight problem with reporting 1099 information. My previous year 1099 suppliers list was pre-populated (as in years past), but I was unable to edit them to report this years data. In other words, the edit button did not work and so I had to reenter the institution information fresh, then delete the same pre-populated institution, since I couldn't edit it.

It works better every year, it took less time this year and the numbers were calculated quickly. I now use the feature that runs through everything and it worked perfectly. Wasn't sure at first how it would work because I switched from PC to Mac. Would not transfer PDF from last year, but took no time to reenter the information. Didn't need support this year as it was easy once I got it to download to the Mac. Program ran even better on the Mac than it did on PC, and all the features were great.

Difficult experience, it has not improved for years. I am still unable to apply part of refunds for next year. Paid over $100 for program and will not pay another $60 dollars for someone to explain what should be and used to be simple and straight forward. Even trying to submit this complaint is hard. Still can not submit as someone else has used my nickname of Dissatisfied Customer.!!!! Hope third time is charm as still can not submit complaint.

I have done my own returns 1969--1999, then with TT Deluxe since. I like the sense of having control and seeing the numbers myself rather than depending on a preparer. I have always been impressed by the amount of work it must have taken to codify all the IRS calculation flows into algorithms, and then do it for all the states as well. I've always been satisfied with Deluxe, when I could just enter my info, check the forms for correctness, then just file. However, two recent not so thrilling events came along: Generally, you finish a section and TT puts up some check boxes for "not common" conditions. These I've been able to bypass usually, but recently needed to check one. Instead of any help, TT just dropped me, telling me to take my return to a professional. And then, for 2025, the investment tools I have used were moved up to Premier, forcing me to pay a higher subscription going forward. I know, I know, just like the hit man says, "Nothing personal, just business". Still, not a good feel; my financial advisor's tax service is looking a little more inviting at present.

I have come to trust TurboTax, (I use the Premier product), to have the most current information on the Federal and State tax calculations and have a robust process to ensure accuracy of the calculations. I am unhappy with the discontinuation of "Its Deductible" software package as I found that product to be very useful for logging charitable donations throughout the year. The program was very useful for importing the charitable donations into TurboTax when working on the tax return. It was also a time saver!!

I've been using computer tax software for decades and have followed the tax s/w through the various acquisitions until we have turbo tax 2025. It has improved with each year making it easier to file taxes. I especially like being able to view help with each entry. However, I wish there was a "what if" for next year to test out different scenarios (i.e should I payoff a loan with 401k or just pay the interest). I know the laws change year to year, but a general "test" return would be nice.

This is a horrible application. I am a CPA and know what I'm doing. I work on taxes for a living, and should be able to override fields and fix things, and still be able to submit electronically. The only option you give me is to mail it in, and send a physical check which I do not have. First and last time I will use turbotax.
