Turbo tax is unclear and confusing when completing the form Form 1115 on Foreign Tax Credit. While it request info by country where foreign tax is paid in subsequent sheets it does not allow entry by individual country even though up to 4 can be included. Result is that I had to do summary of all and list as Various. Also there are NO prompts or instruction on completing the reconciliation of this form. This is very frustrating and it is not clear whether the form are properly completed and proper credit received.

Every year Turbo Tax get worse and worse. Your Importing of tax from Brokerages and others is a nightmare on Elm street. You have to carefully check to make sure you don't have duplicate and overlaping data. 2 years ago you could tell what you imported . I hate your stuff and will be trying something else next year.

Not happy with this product, this time. I used it for the first time last year & it went much smoother. It cannot be our tax situation, since they are similar to last years. The State (NJ) Tax returns were particularly troublesome. With questions about the 2023 tax returns! Not understanding why since they have all that info!

Overall, it's decent, but some of your prompts are annoying especially the new investment UI - I usually have to delete some saved entries because your import process seems to assume everyone will import plus if you are going to do interest and dividends in the same place - have one button in the do it yourself screen instead of two.

c O U L D TurboTax works fine. On the other hand, the related website is again not responding to attempts at making payment to file the state return because it does not respond to repeated attempts to edit the payment method. My credit card used last for payment changed, but I cannot make the payment because the website stalls when attempting to add a new payment method. This is after at least three attempts, so I have delayed filing the state return. I also had this kind of difficulty when filing with TurboTax in 2025 for my 2024 filings.

The software package continues to ask me to file my State of Tennessee Income Tax Return, and I have to answer several questions in order to bypass that. Tennessee has not had a State Income Tax in several years, so no State return is available or required.

This year I did the Premier version still using most of the Forms from last year. The interview process did not check correctly for double form entries transfers and seem to forget that a 1099-R was taxable which I corrected. IRA withdraw showed in 1040 no tax taken out and BOX 7 option 7 selected didn't really fix that until you go to 1099-R manually goto "Verify Box 7 Dist. Code" and review the options and select A4 in my case else the Turbo TAX totally misses this review ck from what I experience. For ADU Labor/Material deductions I never could figure which form to use so I ended up putting it on Schedule C since this was to be used for support services. Section 179 and 1065 all that is confusing for that sort of tax deduction.

Once the correct program is installed and the brokerage house information is downloaded, it is a very smooth program and works well. However, getting to that point was extremely involved, time consuming and difficult, requiring over 15 hours of tech help. Downloading the brokerage house information was MUCH slower than previous years, going from under 10 seconds in the 2024 tax year to over 2.5 hours this year. Once that was done, the experience was excellent.

Turbo Tax anticipated my needs with an easy to navigate interface. Once I got a hang of it the features were complete and meaningful. I trust it accurately transmitted the information from one form to another. Next year this will be an even easier experience.

I left feedback on a previous screen. I'll do it again, The 'suggested review topic' keeps going away; it keeps changing. Anyway, I had several issues that I had to adjust informaiton on the retun. First, was related to my RMD where I donated a portion to a 'qualified' organization. It didn't record it properly and it had to be adjusted. Second, my husband received the Windfall Elimination check thru President Biden in 2025; and, it wanted to call it money not recorded in 2024. And, when importing 1099 information from Edward Jones I had to 'confirm' that profit/loss was reported to IRS. Also, you're not allowing me to use our new email address; which I was able to enter in the tax return information. I'll use the OLD one and hope I remember to look for it.
