Turbo tax is very easy to follow and if you use it consistently it keeps track of everything for you. It really helps with complicated things like depreciation, passive income, carryover losses, etc which I would have little idea about how to figure. Their support people are outstanding and have always answered all my questions.

I have been using TurboTax sense it started (originally call Mac-In-Tax) and have been very happy with the product. However, this year they have been extremely late with their product which did not allow me to use it for early planning and analysis of my tax situation before 2025 year end.

Easy to use, conveniently fills repetitive info. We've been using Turbotax over 15 years now, and so far, no audits--knock on wood--despite having Schedules C, D, E, F, and the obnoxious 1031s. We had CPAs check our returns 2x out of 15+ years, and only because of a super complicated 1031. Not bad for DIY using Turbotax--which goes to show it's an excellent program.

I use turbo tax every year to do my taxes and my parents taxes. This year I had difficulties with communication with intuit. I received an email indicating form 5695 was available and I could continue doing my taxes, however, the download did not update the software. After 24 hours, i called the hotline, was transferred several times and had to reconfirm who I was each time. I was not "warm" transferred. In the end, they told me to wait for the download. They didn't answer my question directly - was it available or not. Conflicting information with the original date of availability 3/2026, to an email indicating it was available, to no updates in the system. I just filed my taxes, and couldn't print ANY forms. The software indicated the reason was ny. but I am unable to print my federal forms as well. very frustrating to say the least.

Great accuracy, easy to file. They bleed you with extra fees all along the way. It cost $235 to use this software today for a retiree filing single, they smoke you with state software fee, state E-file fee, software cost for federal, audit defense fee (if their software is so accurate why is there a charge for this???).

Overall, good as always. Two suggestions: 1. Keep the desktop version available until the online version UI is EXACTLY like the desktop and 2. The estimated tax payment section is extremely confusing, especially for entering retirement income like pensions, IRA distributions and social security. FYI, the IRS calculator is no better. I got more accurate results with Excel and 2026 tax tables and deductions.

Overall I have had good success with Turbo Tax Premier across several years, but occasionally I encounter a glitch in the program and have to work around it manually. In 2025 it happened when I answered one of the final review questions and the program changed my annualized income Form 2210, showing an underpayment penalty. I was able to fix it, but if you aren't pretty familiar with manually filling out forms and working around the program, Turbo Tax would have gotten me into a dispute with IRS.

Program generally works well. Easy to save and file. Forms I didn't know I needed get automatically added and calculated. Updates continuously come in, which makes me wonder if I should file or wait for ny more updates. Reviewing the entries seems to regenerate the already answered questioins about foreign bank acoounts.

I had trouble with a 1099-Q to me but was for my granddaughter. It was a small amount but I ended up paying a tax on it because the software didn't walk me though it well enough. I also am concerned that there will be a problem with the 1099-R as I have 3 IRAs but take the total RMD required from 2 of them. I entered all information as the software requested but I'm concerned as there didn't seem to be anywhere to enter the RMD for the 3rd IRA that I didn't take anything from because I took more from the other 2 and didn't need to take any from the 3rd.

I love TurboTax. Long time user. Generally easy to use. This year, when completing severaln 1099 forms, I noticed that when I started it knew I had 1099s from prior years, and listed choices to pick from. The list was too general, in that I had multiple 1099s from the same brokerage, but the list was not specific, so when I clicked on a 1099 to complete, I did not know which one was going to open. When I clicked I opened a pre-populated form. I started my taxes before all my 1099s were received, so I felt I had to hunt for the specific 1099 that I wanted to complete. Eventually I got them all completed.
