This feedback is for the desktop version Turbo Tax 2025. All I can say is what happened?, did you stop investing on the download version...I see that you are pushing online. I purchased and downloaded windows version today, software crashed, on several steps, click done with income freeze, clicking done with deductions freeze and close...I re-installed to see if that would help but it did not. I have been a long time TurboTax user, I expected software to be more perfected after all these years, rather what I see is you have gone backward or intentionally lacking support for desktop version. I don't know if someone will review this, I sure would like some feedback.

I like the guided prompts for input. I think some of the 1099-R handling could better, especially when only a portion is taxable as different activities from an IRA or 401k could be combined on one 1099, as conversions and direct rollovers need to be handled differently. I do not like all the pop up things trying to get me to buy a service or that I have to wait for a specific date to upload my tax forms from a brokerage when they are actually ready before that date. Can't we try and fail if they are not really there?

I have been using this software since its inception. Obviously I have trusted it and have not been disappointed. My only regret is that Intuit has not reciprocated my decades-long loyalty with a price reduction for each subsequent tax year. My renewal cost is actually significantly more than commercially available at both online and brick and mortar retailers.

Turbo tax is very easy to follow and if you use it consistently it keeps track of everything for you. It really helps with complicated things like depreciation, passive income, carryover losses, etc which I would have little idea about how to figure. Their support people are outstanding and have always answered all my questions.

Fairly easy to use but sometimes specific items not readily apparent. Difficult to get simple answers for Turbotax use (non tax questions).

drives me crazy every year. constant upselling. constant continue pages. constant going to new page asking for things i was not expecting to be asked and had to do a lot of puzzling to guess what to enter. I hate this product!

many questions are ambiguous and there is no info to further explain. state taxes specifies that 1099Rneed to accompany return but there is no feature to upload the docs to the return.

We like most of the changes we see. However, it would be better if we could enter INT and DIV income separately and have the ability to sort alphabetically by payer name.

After using Turbo Tax over 20 years I still recommend it to all friends. The Review section is terrific. I've never had to use the support system yet, thankfully. This program has all the options I require.

When you point out things for us to change or review near the end, I can't figure out which items I have to change (or it won't work) or review. The colored boxes didn't make sense.
