When I first stepped through the interview there were messages that indicated that the section was not complete yet. But there was not a notification after subsequent updates that the section was complete and it did not direct me back through that section. I have used TurboTax for years and when it is completely up to date I have had no issues.

I have been using Turbo Tax forever. It is very straight forward and easy to use for most part. Things I don't like is when Turbo tax suggests to check topics on my own - for example, while calculating foreign asset depreciation it suggests to use some ALT method!! Why can't the software do this? Very annoying.

Updater takes forever to run and there is no way to bypass it or really know how long it will take--the time remaining shown is not close to being accurate. Also, we were forced to pay more to update to premier unexpectantly just to include a 1099-B. I don't recall this being addressed in the packaging. Program always takes much longer to use than expected due to these unforeseen issues.

Downloaded information was not correct but probably not a Turbotax issue more the financial institutions issue. Help finding 2024's AGI was not inline with my experience (my web portal must differ from what was anticipated by the help instructions. Same general ease of use beyond this. Even though I had the 2024 tax file my information would not import into 2025!

Turbo tax is good if you don't have to go back. If you need to change anything or don't understand something and then hit the wrong button and try to go back, it's difficult, sometimes a hole different question track. I get so frustrated, had to go back and start all over on a new return. Then I was sent a form late, so had to do an amendment. That was difficult to find and then Turbo Tax just said to go to the deduction menu and put in numbers from the K-1 form. It didn't help at all. I had no idea what numbers they were talking about or how to do that. It did not help me navigate that.

I have used TurboTax for many years and find it relatively easy to use. I have had no audits using TurboTax. That being said, I don't appreciate all the pop-up ads to sell additional products. I feel the ads could be deceiving and especially confusing for older users.

I've used TurboTax for many years and this is the first year I haven't given it a 5-star rating. It remains accurate but it is not as easy to use as in previous years. I wish I could pinpoint exactly what was so different but I can't. I love the way it brings the previous year's information forward very easily. I love that it can be used step by step or by topic. I always enter data by topic as forms come in. It makes the final job easier. When I have all my forms entered, I go through the step by step process to be sure I haven't missed anything, then I file electronically. I filed my Federal return but held back on the state as I wasn't quite done with it. When I went back to electronically file the state return, I had a terrible time getting back to it. I fought with the program for about 5 hours before I was able to electronically file my state return. But, both are done now and I will definitely use TurboTax again next year. It still makes the whole process easier.

TurboTax is great. It is simple to use and accurate. It has explanatory references for most of the entries and is always accurate. i have confidence in this software and have used it since I started paying taxes over 50 years ago. There is ONLY ONE CONTINUING problem that has existed since the 2023 tax year THAT HAS NOT YET BEEN FIXED: The automatic or a question that prompts if the user has Military Retired income to exempt in Virginia. The information ("Military Retired Pay") is input for the 1099-R in the Federal section but there is never a prompt/question to edit the Virginia tax input to ensure that the exemption is recorded in the Virginia tax input. This currently has to be done manually by the inputter and if you are unaware of it you will not make the input. . As a result, many are losing this exemption and the tax assessment difference! when this is FINALLY fixed, they will be a 5 star software!

Changes have been made to TTax. Did not like process for inputting income. Continued to ask if I wanted to import, told me items needed review but didn't allow me to open and edit. Would not allow me to delete old payer info if I did things out of (your) order. Also, after I finally deleted some old payer info, it kept reappearing. Preparing taxes was more painful this year than in past years.
