Had my returns completed except for one area. Software froze and I had a spinning wheel that would not go away. had to reboot computer to get TT working again. Not a big problem except that i had not saved my file and when I rebooted, i had a blank file and had to start over. took an additional 3 1/2 hours to do. But still easier than filing manually. Great program other than the glitch. Was this user or software error? LOL

Why wouldn't the TurboTax 2025 version transfer my TurboTax 2024 past year information? The comments was that "the file was too large" for the TurboTax 2024 past year information; however, the document was only 8.9 MB in size. This forced me to enter in my 2024 information directly into my 2025 TurboTax forms, which was a three hour operation.

I have counted on TurboTax to file taxes for many years. The prompts to buy add-on services was annoying. It's good to know where to click if I should want to buy a service, but being prompted so many times reduces my confidence that the TurboTax product is accurate and complete as delivered. Also, I prefer to manage my digital financial information. Using the online version of TurboTax means that a copy is there in addition to the copy sent to the IRS.

Turbotax has added too many steps, especially in the section for entering investment income. You want to enter interest, then it goes to general stuff, asks about downloading, and you have to click through a thousand screens to just enter some interest. Needs to be streamlined.

It seem as though taxes have become complicated, Turbo Tax has also. But I was able to make my way through it once again. I made an incorrect choice on Federal Schedule D and my return was rejected by the IRS. Turbo Tax isolated it and guided me through the correction and helped my resent the return. Good product feature!

I have used Turbo Tax for over 10 years, it was always very easy and straight forward. many explanations, help tips, etc. this year there was an option to pay $60 for live tax expert instead. the GUI was so cumbersome and unhelpful, it was frustrating. I was not about to pay for a customer service experience that would have left me just as frustrated. Previous years were, the GUI was very polished, and easy to understand. There were very few mistakes made that I had to go back and correct. this year was so full of bugs, causing me to constantly go back and try to figure out what was wrong. This year took me over 6 hours to get me through something that would take me Barely 2 on a rough year. I can see the direction this product is taking, and I will not be using any more. I will be looking for a different option next year. Accuracy, Features, Guidance, and interface all were frustrating, cumbersome, and very user unfriendly this year. You need to do better.

TurboTax is still a solid application to file one's taxes. It's reliable and will guide you through the proper steps. I did not have any issues installing on an older Mac (Intel) updated to the latest OS (Tahoe 26.4). Though it's now nagging you more than ever to buy additional services as you go through the filing, you can always skip that. It does have some deficiencies not corrected after many years. The IRA distributions entered early in the process, and for most people automatically entered, are suddenly "forgotten" when it comes to getting you a nice tax break later in the process. Now I have to submit an adjustment to my 2024 taxes because of it! There's a few more annoying things like when it asks you to print the Federal payment voucher even if you're filing online and paying online too. It's only needed if you mail your payment. Annoying because it's easy to fix and they don't. Anyway it still works for me after maybe 30 years of using it, so why change... well, maybe when the price will get to be too high.

Been using TurboTax (Desktop, Deluxe) product for DECADES. This 2025 version brought me two VERY disturbing problems: 1) "Hmm, looks like we've hit a snag." pop-up WIPED OUT the years of CONFIDENCE I had using TurboTax to produce my tax returns PROPERLY. 2) The same .tax2025 file I last closed, having PRINTED the 1040 w/ STANDARD DEDUCTION ($31,500)... auto-decided to SWAP me to the ITEMIZED DEDUCTION (~$14,200), which (a) somehow got me about $120 'more' from the FEDs... and (b) WIPED OUT the years of CONFIDENCE I had using TurboTax.

Nice software, but too many upcharges. If I'm paying for "with State" it should include everything the state needs. Having to pay extra for efile is ridiculous in this time of fraud. My $55 ended up costing me $140. Seems kind of bait-and-switch to me

the turbo tax personnel were good. just to many issues this time around with navigating screens. even your person could not figure out why it was so hard to get to forms. The features seem to have changed. I have used TT for over 15 years and I may not use again.
