I did on the other page, prior to this page. There are some flaws, with the program, but you have to be knowledgeable user to find them. as to putting the paid State & Local income taxes in the wrong areas, like under the 1099-R in the Tax Payment Worksheet. and different areas from what you W-2 state for State and Local income taxes, at least for PA State, and duplicating the amount that was paid in, that was not operator error, that is what the program did. I don't know about your other states, if their W-2 matched up with your programming, but apparently it sure didn't this year.

I have been using turbo tax for close to two decades. It's easy. However, this year I had an issue transmitting my return. I called turbo tax and spoke with Kashe Emma. She was so kind, helpful and understanding. Not only did she help me, she reassured me that everything would be ok. Her calmness helped me calm down. Kashe is a real gem. Her customer service is excellent. She truly is an asset to your company. She deserves a pay increase. Give her a pay increase.

I am a longtime user of TurboTax, and I think the wording used to interact with the customer, me, is less clear every year. I think that it is time for me to consider other software and human tax preparers. I will discuss with family and friends about how they have their tax forms completed.

Entering Goodwill donations for several different items was much easier in previous years with dropdown options. This 2025 version had yo search by name and if you don't know how its listed you can't find your items to get their present value for the deductions.

Most of the steps were very easy to understand, especially with the additional information that you could click on. Federal and Colorado sections were great. The only issue I had was that the DC filing questions were a vague. I specifically didn't understand how to separate our deductions and how Turbo Tax got to the total DC deductions amount. There was almost zero explanation for any of those steps. I ended up having to ask chatGPT to explain it for me. The user interface was very clear and well organized. The refund running total at the top was very helpful, as well as the tabs that allowed me to see where in the process I was working on and to move between sections without having to use the back button.

TurboTax in general help me to report tax but in some place, it give me headaches. At end of Federal tax, it will do a review and points out errors. It shows the error on tax forms instead of tell you which steps on the TurboTax you made mistakes. Sometimes, I have to understand how the tax forms works in order to correct the issue. The tax forms can be so complicated that I don't know how to correct the issue. It defects the propose of buying TurboTax.

I have been a user of TurboTax for decades, and have found it to be the one of the best tools for dealing with the complexity of tax preparation/filing and navigating the changes that come with every new tax year. I like its approach to gathering the data with a user-friendly, question-driven interface. I also like the ability to import and compare tax documents from previous years with this year's return.

UNFORTUNATELY I CHECKED YES TO THE QUESSTOIN ARE YOU A UNITED STATES CITIZEN AND ENDED UP NOT PAYING TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY. THE WORDING MIGHT BE ARE A UNITED STATES CITIZEN AND DID YOU LIVE IN A FORIGN COUNTRY YES NO. ALSO FILIING A 1040 X IS NOT STRAIGHT FORWARD. WOULD BE EASISER TO BE ABLE TO SELECT A 1040X FROM LISTING OF FORMS AND IT WOULD BE POPULATED WITH THE CURRENT YEAR AMOUNTS ALREADY FILED THEN ENTER THE CHANGES. SIMILAR WITH PREVIOUS YEARS INPUT. CHANGES FOR ENTRY OF INTEREST, DIVDENDS IS REALLY SLOW TO GET TO THE RIGHT PLACE TO ENTER THE DATA. ALL IN ALL PREVIOUS GENERATONS HAVE BEEN BETTER FROM A USERS STANDPOINT.

I like TurboTax. I've been using it for years. With the guide, the usuage is mostly easy. There are times it is confusing. Especially when there is no guide lines. ie: I came across a section with no advice, the section asked for the difference between the federal taxable amoun and the state taxable amount. To enter the addition or subtraction of the difference. No instruction as to where these numbers come from.

I was supposed to get 5 E-files with my downloaded 2025 TurboTax Deluxe that I purchased, I only was able to e-file 3 tax returns. A message stated I had used all 5 of my e-files and wanted me to purchase more e-files. The software is helpful, but I got the shaft on this ordeal. No, I am not done filing tax returns yet, two more to go...I hope TurboTax sees this and can help me out.
