A problem I see every year--and I've had TTax for 30 years: you cannot search topics using a cntr-F for find. Instead, you have to wade through all the topics (or forms or whatever you are searching for). I also found it nearly impossible to find the SEP-IRA option. There should be a search and clickable link to jump to the form you seek.

Unlike in prior years, the software failed multiple times while preparing my return. Twice it dumped all of the data and I had to start from scratch. Multiple additional times it crashed and had to restart. This AI editor of my review is also annoying.

Company out to take your money, but puts you in a position where you have to buy more. Transparent costs and stop with the up selling. Also the browser experience is difficult so quit asking me why I don't want to use it. I already spend hours working through the desktop app. Ya'll need to seriously rethink the desktop experience if you really want to go that route and not provide the desktop app anymore. I also noticed you don't have price as category for suggested topics, because you know everyone would comment on that.

It would be helpful if the federal estimates for 2027 were setup that you only needed to make changes to your income and withholding. So only exceptions need to be entered. This feature did not appear to work even though I entered all of the income and withholding.

I have been using TurboTax (MaxinTax) for almost 30 years. This year's was the hardest to use. Several "resources" were harder to understand than the reason for clicking on them in the first place. As I finished the task, TurboTax offered me the choice of receiving my refund by direct Deposit or Check. As always, I chose by check, understanding it might take a little longer to receive. There was no notice that the IRS had changed their policy on writing checks almost a year ago. I am still waiting for my check. I went to the TurboTax website to see if any notices were there. Since that time my email inbox has been flooded with "reminders" to file my taxes. Quite irritating.

Download and install is a nosebleed. Need to submit to multi-factor authentication in order to access more multi-factor authentication. Forced Intuit Account registration to "confirm my identity" but you were glad to take my money without confirming my identity; that is a bait and switch. Turbo Tax did not handle my healthcare properly, had to go back and do it manually. What if I had not known that was necessary? I really don't like the constant up-selling and cross-selling. It's taxes. I want to get in and get out as quickly as possible. I don't want to form a long-term relationship with my tax software.

After using Turbo Tax Deluxe-Desktop for several years, I believe doing my taxes this year was easier then ever before with additional questions or statements clarifying areas that I might make a mistake in, making me more aware of each area that made me feel more comfortable then all the years I have been doing my own taxes with Turbo Tax. Thank you for continuing to put out a better product each year. In my opinion Turbo Tax is simple and accurate to put in my own data and file electronically each year. Thank you Turbo Tax.

E-filing clunky at best. The field allowance for the IP PIN is 5 characters, The IP PIN is 6 characters, Worse, this is has not been changed for years, despite similar comments. One character must be dropped off. Explain this with which one to exclude, or allow 6. Even worse, the IRS sent out the wrong IP PINs this January. A heads up with how to fix it. provided through your updates, would have been appropriate, appreciated and avoid what will surely be chaos when the IRS rejects returns.

Turbo tax definitely makes it so much it easier with the thorough walkthrough to address each filing section. I sincerely appreciate the new feature to tag something if you need to go back and review something and it takes the hassle of trying to find it yourself. I like how I feel a more sense of control of the safety of my privacy especially with sensitive information and know that I don't have to rely on somene else potentially missing something or holding onto my info later. Prayerfully, that turbotax information doesn't end up on dark web anywhere being that any information online puts anyone at risk. I've been using it for years and highly encourage others to do so - especially when I hear the prices that other people pay in-person preparers. Totally a turbo fan and really grateful. Also - I passionately love the ability to bring in prior information from the year before into the current filing. Such a time saver and a relief. Nice touch with the updates too.

Importing data is a convenient function but is somewhat awkward and a bit confusing to use. The instructions for it could be clearer, for example relating the entity that is supplying the 1099 form to the financial agent that is being used (e.g., "Commonwealth Financial" uses "National Financial Services"). Late error reporting: When I clicked on "transmit returns", I thought ALL errors had been found and dealt with, so it was a surprise that I had to deal with several additiinal "errors" at the point. The NY State distribution had been left blank on 4 of my 1099's, and the zip code was "invalid" because another 1099 had the wrong state code on the form.In each of those cases, the field TurboTax showed as being in error was NOT the field that had to be corrected. Also, each error had to be cotrected and several steps taken to get to the "transmit returns" button whereupon the next error instance was shown.
