I can't remember exactly where it was, but some of the Guidance questions were so vague. I do remember one spot in the guidance where it was talking about entering Social Security amount below where it already had an amount and it did not give enough information for me to easily understand what numbers if any I should be entering. So if that was fixed it would be nice. Just don't put guidance questions that are to vague or don't give enough information as to where to find the information for that spot. Need to give more information on several guidance questions. I also feel like that when purchasing this product, that the State E-Filing should also be free.

The what-if form is quite useful, but does not subtract the (correctly calculated) senior deduction on line 41e from line 40 Income after deduction in columns 2-4. It works in column 1. This should have been fixed months ago and hopefully will be fixed soon. The what-if worksheet is very helpful in determining how much regular IRA funds to convert to Roth IRA in any given year.

I have been a long-time user of intuit products and have prepared my taxes using TurboTax since the late 1980’s. In years past, I have found the software to be very straightforward. However, the 2025 TurboTax Deluxe Desktop version has made an onerous annual chore far less manageable. The 2025 rendering is comparable to a beta version with plenty of bugs yet to resolve.

very upset that you did not support Windows 10 for at least 1 more year. also the refund amount did not match the one I got whlle online with Turbo Tax. the software version was less. I also now have to ask for a refund for Deluxe online because I ended up having to install it on a windows 11 machine so I do not want to pay for both. one last really really irritating thing is that I never received the emails when I tried to do efile on website. I am just not a happy camper at all at the moment

I really like using TurboTax to process my federal and state income tax returns. HOWEVER, the trick that was pulled this year (of having to have Windows 11 to process the return was sneaky and underhanded! i feel taking advantage of by Intuit and Microsoft and feel there was a handshake agreement between the two companies to make more money for shareholders. I went out and bought a new computer to process and file my return but when it's no longer compatible with whatever year TurboTax, I will go to a tax company and have them complete my return....bye, bye TurboTax! Additionally, after I learned and was shocked that I needed a 64 bit computer and my 32 bit wouldn't work with TT, I started a return on the internet version. What a piece of junk!!! It was difficult to follow and the "impoting" function is a joke. There are only 6-8 companies available for import and I think I could only use one out of the seven I needed. I will not be going down that route again!!

Too Hard to use compared to previous versions. I've used TurboTax for 20 years. This is the worst version. Too many extra charges. Too many Advertisements. You are trying to get too much extra money from loyal users. Don't know if I will use Turbotax next year.

Works fine but remains to costly compared to others. ONLY purchase it annually since I have used it for years. But next season will probably change to a less expensive brand. Also the constant attempts to UPSELL get very annoying. Make a box to check so I do not have to experience it so darn frequently

I have used TurboTax the last 15 years. With changes in the code, I would recommend that it provides more explanation of certain entry. For example, in an W2, the wage number was omitted in the return, because that income was from a nonqualified pension. It took me quite a while to discover that after carefully examining each item in the final return.

The program provides each applicable item for YOUR return. It offers numerous reviews so you can have confidence/continuity. Even though I received 1099s in the mail, I found it convenient to upload from my investment firm which pre-fills all the needed figures. On one page, it kept telling me there was an error. I could not see it. Finally did. Frustrated briefly. Therefore not a 5*. But I liked using TT.

This year was worse than previous years. Several links for explanations were blank. Wording wasn't clear in some cases. Some kind of glitch with MA Form M-2210 for underpayment penalty. It was included in the forms view, but wasn't included in the step-by-step view and not included in the final "all forms required for filing" when it was required. Finally found a way to add it by clicking one of the explanation boxes at the top of the form which I hope was the correct explanation. For these reasons, this 2025 year's software was unfortunately disappointing. Still good overall and I used it obviously. Thank you for your hard work on this, but I hope it will be back to better standards like in previous years.
