Light bluebackground with white print is very hard to read input of new 1099-R and updates very clumbsy additional security requires goimg to online version to make changes in phone number. Had to disable phone check. I use desktop version. This the second PC I had to get for WIN 10 then WIN 11. Ordered primtout of tax file. Never got it. This form was a pain.

I have used TurboTax for many years. Normally I purchased the CD and downloaded to my computer. Last year I purchased on-line and found it was identical to the format on the CDs. This year I again purchased the on-line version but found it differed from the format I have grown accustomed to and in several screens, there was some confusion. I struggled through but was uncomfortable with the changes. I even had concerns the on-line version may not be from TurboTax and might be malware.

Very disappointed in the $40 Refund Processing Fee that is dropped on the tax payer in the final steps- dishonest, unethical and other unpleasant terms. You won't print this and don't care; it's all about ,money. Turbo tax is becoming as expensive as private tax preparer; watch out you may lose customers.

The interface is Awkward in the Filing section. For example: If you want to Efile Federal but Mail returns for State, the normal flow does not account for this. I have to go back into Filing (after transmitting Fed return), then select File By Mail, then continue. The initial File flow should allow one to select HOW they wan file each, and then go through the screens accordingly. I think I complained about this in previous years, but no change.

Overall the software is good at hand-holding you through the process of filing your taxes. The issue is when it comes to e-Filing them. The software does not check for requirements like Fed ID PIN is missing so the Fed gets rejected, and the State gets rejected because the fed rejected - then you have to got Bak into Turbo Tax fix the issue and refile - and PAY again. I feel there should not be another charge because the software "checked" my filing and missed this critical item.

My state return was originally incorrect and needed to be updated. Also, they removed ItsDeductible from the software this year. Save yourself the money and go with a cheaper product, state e-File is cheaper elsewhere and the software costs half the price and you still get 5 federal returns. I was a customer for over 20 years, this is my last year.

We have utilized Turbo Tax for our tax preparation for many, many years. My main issue is the inability of Turbo Tax and our investment company to properly import investment data. Turbo Tax requires a great portion of this complex item to be manually input. I don't know if it is an issue with our investment company or something else, but it is very stressful to get through that portion of our return.

Had a problem with the Importing Process from Morgan Stanley E-Trade Accounts. Had to call Customer service. Also when the review process was done it said that I had 36 errors. This was due to the importing of incomplete sale dates on certain Wash sales for stocks. never had that problem before in my 20 plus years of using Turbo Tax. Other than that it worked fine as usual.

Sadly, an error slipped past your QA and created a return that was not accepted by the IRS. It was impossible to find a way to report that error or to determine if it was being addressed. Finally, a few weeks went by and a message appeared in the software that a delay in filing was suggested to allow time to correct that error. It was finally addressed and the return was accepted. Not your usual product reliability.

I've been using TurboTax for many years. This year it is much more difficult. Also, VERY disappointed that the charitable contribution pricing section is no longer used. Also, the $40. electronic processing fee was unexpected and in appropriate. Due to these 3 issues, I will likely not use TurboTax next year.
