NOT reliable with issues

the refund amount went up and down, I had to exit couple of times and restart again. Also foreign tax and form 1116 were not in sync and kept having issues. signed up only for one son for trump account and software selected for both sons even if one was more than 18 years of age. This time turbo tax is not very reliable

Great product to prepare and file your taxes

I have used TurboTax for federal and state filings for 7 years. Great product, it asks enough questions to safely guide you through the process. I used to have someone prepare my taxes, and it cost big bucks. I wished I had learned to use Turbo tax many years. Thanks again for a great product.

Not as user friendly as in past years

I found this year's turbo tax not as user friendly as in past years. The search feature was not helpful when I asked a simple question as to whether or not I need to report my Roth contribution. I found the advice I needed by going directly to the internet. Also, I found your interface for energy tax credit problematic. I put in numbers that later needed to be corrected. However, the incorrect entries remained and the only way to delete/change was by going directly to the forms. Such inconsistencies can contribute to significant errors. Not sure if I'll use Turbo Tax in the future.

Turbo Tax needs work

Only AFTER I filed my federal return and printed a copy was I aware that Turbo Tax prepared substantial estimated quarterly payment vouchers for 2026! This should be immediately revealed and explicitly stated when final review of the return is completed, and before the return is filed.

Unmarking Estimated item - fails to Unmark!

Fails to Unmark estimated items. F8 fails, Menu fails, requires form to be deleted and re-enter data. It has been doing this for 3+ years and I report it every year! I am tired of Beta testing your product for free. Worksheets fail to indicate where and entry will be made on the final schedule. Schedules fail to show where data was entered. It would be nice to have a full graphic of which worksheets feed into which line number and of course, to which form are they entered.

Straight forward with room for improvements

Generally straight forward walking thru the topics. Auto-import of forms generally fails. Manual entry should allow for entering DIV, INT, MISC all at once as opposed to having to enter them separately for a given financial institution. Help topics appear in small font that cannot be increased. Not clear why some IRS form entry errors occur given that all entries are made thru TT forms. The need to regularly install updates is awkward.

First time with an issue

I've used and promoted Turbotax for many years. This is the first time I've been disappointed with it. I spent several hours trying to import my investment information from Schwab and actually contemplated buying another tax software to resolve the issue. I finally found a suggestion on the blog and tried using Edge instead of Chrome as my default browser. Worked the first time. Lack of communication is a poor trait. I hope it does not reoccur.

Software Glitches

It was OK. I've used the software for many years and it's fine. This year I experienced some strange glitches, like the program shutting down suddenly (PC) and a few windows suddenly showing up with incredible magnification levels. Not show-stopping problems, but annoying.

Very disappointing unble to efile state return

No provision to help desktop users wanting to efile state return. Problem with the credit card set up for state of Ohio. Not able to complete my tax in a quick efficient manner. Very disappointing and time consuming collecting all the documents to send and will need to stop at post office to make sure I have correct postage. Estimated tax return for 2025 for my deceased mother was extremely high. Not sure if that was a Turbo Tax error of IRS. Will think long and hard before returning to Turbo Tax. t

The Help was Great

I've used TurboTax for many year now with good results. This year however, it isn't as "user friendly" as it was in the past. I don't know if it's because the dumb big beautiful bill had people scrambling to get things changed/rechanged/and rechanged again or what the issue was. I did have issues this year. I had to call for help two days in a row and I will say that the two women who helped me deserve 5+ Stars. They were patient, knowledgeable and helped me so much. They made my problems tolerable.
