I am a big fan of TurboTax and have used it for over 20 years. I have always given it a 5 star rating until this year. I was not a big fan of the user interface this year. Many of the information "look up" boxes were left off making this edition a little more like deciphering the government language on paper forms. I found myself having to look up items like 403(b) and alternatives online as I clicked through my Civil Service annuity distribution declaration. The CSA 1099R form with a code 7 in Box 7 should have been sufficient for TurboTax to determine the distribution information. If I have to click choices to make decisions, then please return to the level of explanation in the program that was customary and expected just 4-5 years ago. I realize that forms may not always be finalized by mid-January because there can be late IRS updates to TurboTax. While it was unusual to see so many delays warnings to completing my taxes in the third week of January, I won't fault TurboTax for it. I will continue to choose TurboTax for my annual filing, but I definitely hope they return to the much more informative user interface and information lookup they excelled at just a handful of years ago. I know the videos from years ago were costly and may not be possible today, but they were informative. Filers want to be comfortable in their choices of clicks; guessing/assuming isn't the way to go.

Have been using Turbo Tax for years but I am a bit disappointed this year , I purchased the deluxe version that was supposed to include 5 free Federal and one state I got nothing , it charged me 65.25 to file both Federal and State and the same for my Daughters return . never had problems when Turbo Tax was available on a CD format wish it will make a comeback on 2026

I have used Turbo Tax for over 30 years & I have found it easy to work with & I am completely satisfied with the results of the product. It's knowledge of tax law is outstanding & I feel completely comfortable with the accuracy of the results. Thanks Turbo tax for your continuing excellence in keeping it the best product on the market.

No longer is TurboTax letting me select the option to mail in my State Income Tax Form nor is the program providing me with the address where to mail my State Form. I know I can look it up on-line, it was nice to have it on the instructions page. Also, TurboTax is making my State Tax Form income and refund too large by not using a decimal for cents. I imported the W2 so not my mistake with manual entry. The Federal Form is correct, just didn't translate to State Form correctly. Example: 100.00 refund looks like 10000. I'm getting so little back from my state I don't want to pay the E-File cost. VERY FRUSTRATING since I've been using TurboTax programs for years and for multiple family members.....

Not Happy!!!!! Need guidance on entering AGI for e-filing. I keep getting rejected by IRS. Have use Turbo Tax for decades and this is the first time I have had this problem. I am entering to correct number from line 11. I pay for Turbo Tax so that I can e-file. I do NOT want to mail my Federal Return!

HSA section never goes smoothly. Why is the assumption that all HSA dollars are NOT qualified and thus show big owe on my return, only until I specify that all expenditures were for eligible medical care. Had to do this on a Mac this year since apparently windows 10 isn't good enough anymore. Pain in the butt since nothing transferred over.

Quality has gone backwards. Features like RH mouse click to pop up supporting info menu doesn't work on a lot of fields where it used to. Frustrating and it cost me extra time. Also, estimated tax section needs to be improved and show last years numbers like it does in the forms screen.

started out using turbotax a lot of years ago and liked the simplicity (remembering this is tax software) of the early versions. through the years the programs have gotten more difficult for a low computer IQ guy like me to the point where this year was a real struggle. this will probably be my last year with turbotaxrbotax

Was enrolled in the plan that autobuys the new year every year, but did not know that you discontinued support for Its Deductible mid-year (after I had been entering stuff into it all year). Why would you cancel a tax product mid-year?! I wouldn't have renewed if I'd've realized you got rid of it. And to do that without telling me is even worse. In addition, my initial return was rejected because of not including the right number of Form 1116. Isn't that what the software is for? To determine which forms to file? How can you check the return for errors, then not include the right forms? I resubmitted today, after an update, but this is ridiculous. You determine which forms to include, not me, and you apparently did it incorrectly. How can I have any comfort in your software if you screw up basic things like that? I will be moving to a different provider next year, after being a loyal user of Turbo Tax for decades.

I've used Turbotax for many years. This year I found it more complicated. Perhaps the format/look of each page was different which gave me pause. Some items were not explained as clearly as in the past and it was difficult to find help. So either I wasn't as astute as in other years or changes in the program made filing more difficult.
