I have used TurboTax for 20 years because it's simple and accurate. But this year, it caused problems that almost cost me a lot of money. When it was downloading interest and dividend statements from banks, etc. it did not recognize when a certain institution was complete, and it wanted me to update it. That caused it to download the same interest and dividend statements multiple times. It tried to add them to my income multiple times, also. That could have cost me a lot of money if I had not noticed it. As usual, it was pretty simple to use. That's still great. And, I assume it is accurate becase I've never been audited (knock on wod). So I'll continue to use Turbotax, but now it eems I ned to be mr vigilant in watching over what it does.

The last couple of years (at least for TT2024 and TT2025. I have had trouble signing into my account and also efiling my return. The program itself is great and I have used it for many years (nearly 20). I don't plan on switching, but you should do a better job.

I have had many years of great software experience with Intuit TurboTax product. This 2025 product was not up to previous products. I bought download product and I had to wait to complete my tax return because of incomplete information. Even having completed my taxes I cannot print out my State until features are 'fixed.' This is a first!

Software was good and made tax filing easier. One problem was when I went to file state taxes. I had the Deluxe edition with state included but no e-filing. The flow would not allow me to NOT e-file the state even tho' all the forms were done. I backed up and tried it 5 times with same result. The guidance and interface definitely needs some work for if you want to e-file federal but not state.

I am still getting this message saying available soon after getting email telling me it was ready. However I changed to forms 5695 and was able to fill the form out and when I went back to my step by step it was showing the credit added correctly to my refund total. But the step by step still shows it not available.

I have been using Turbo Tax for years (maybe 15 years?) to file my taxes. My tax reality is not complicated so I feel that I'm pretty much in compliance with federal taxation rules. Each year I attempt to file my taxes as soon as I receive necessary tax documents that are made available by authorities in Jan and sometimes as late as Feb.What I really like about Turbo Tax is tha I'm able to track my tax realities over the years. I have been a little frustrated combining Turbo Tax accounts when I failed to remember my user ID and password.

Every year Turbo tax gets more "user friendly" which is not necessarily a good thing. Instead of just typing in the two numbers on my 1099-Int, it kept asking for me to download. Several screens later, I could just type in my numbers. Also there is a bug this year. On the first page on the 1040-SR, there is now a check box that needs filling if you have lived in your main home for more than half of 2025. Turbo Tax did NOT fill it in. I had to back page it and do it myself. I don't think a lot of people can do that. I have been using Turbo tax since 1995 so I know a few tricks to work around the main interface.

The download went fine, but when it was time to add last years(2025) return, the product wouldn't add either the regular file or the pdf I had saved on my hard drive. In fact the product locked up. That was very irritating and concerning. Eventually, I did a forced close and upon reopening, it allowed the upload of last years return. Taxes are stressful enough and I have all my necessary forms etc ready to go so it should have been straight forward. After all I was just adding data when it locked up.

I did not care for the part on filing the SSA 1099 or the1099R's . It was very unclear on some of the questions for these and you just had to guess. There was an annuity 10999R that was very vague. I am still not sure if I was charged tax on my social security or not.

FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, IT APPEARED THE SOFTWARE HAD A GLITCH; IT KEPT SAYING I CANNOT FILE OR TRANSMIT AN AMENDED RETURN,WITHOUT FILING AN ORIGINAL, BUT I DID NOT ATTEMPT DO THAT. ALSO, IT CAME UP WITH A TAX PAYMENT OF APPROX. 3,400.00 TO NEW YORK STATE WHICH I HAD NEVER SEEN BEFORE. MY WIFE'S NYC TEACHER'S PENSION OF APPROX. $74,000, A MAJOR PART OF OUR NY INCOME, IS NOT TAXABLE IN NYS. I FINALLY GOT RID OF THE "AMENDED FORM" NOTICE SO I COULD TRANSMIT IT, BUT I WOULD LIKE AN ANALYSIS DONE FROM TURBO TAX. THANK YOU.
