Generally good but the Desktop Deluxe version seems inferior to the next level versions I have used in the past in more than just guidance. It almost seems archaic in comparison. I had to go back several times to figure out why I was being led by the leash to where I was going. I had no problem saving my file easily as a PDF but make it easier to save in TurboTax's format so I can save it on a portable hard drive for use later (next year) on either a Windows or Apple computer. Not intuitive to have "print" being used to "save"! Also found it non-intuitive to just accept the fact that for some reason I wasn't getting the benefit of tax law changes until I used my personal knowledge when looking at the final product to determine the way income related to the calculations. It seems like there ought to be a better way to meet the needs of the customer. I'm likely more tax savvy than average as I have completed my taxes on paper "back in the day" and know how to complete the forms but at this rate I think I could file my taxes myself about as easily as I can using TurboTax Desktop Deluxe.

I could not import any w-2 forms electronically or manually with images or PDF documents. It was very frustrating. Turbo Tax seems more interested in up selling features than improving and securing the tax returns. Why is there fee to a file the state return? I've using this product for over 10 years and this return was very frustrating.

Had a little problem with the interface between federal and Arizona state, particularly it didn't see the state refund I received and where I recorded it on my federal for. Accepted return with error. Accuracy is good. Features are good. Guidance is good.

2025 version of Turbo Tax was incomplete, having to manually enter some information by forms. The UI was very inconsistent compared to previous years. For example graphics displayed implied you could click, however, you had to scroll down to click Continue. UI varied between sections sometimes displaying a pencil image for editing and other times and Edit box. Some boxes showed Revisit and after going in to the section the prompt did not change, implying you had to revisit again.

This years seems less flexible than previous years. Turbo Tax always says there is no cost to e-file Federal Tax, not totally true since there is a processing fee of $65 for your refund. This should be noted upfront and noted there may be additions changes with this e-filing

Had bugs where it would not let me e-file. There were no reason for the error alert I got when I was in forms view. I just deleted the form and started over and stopped filling out the form at the point I got the error code. Because my income was too much I could not take the education credit anyway. It then let me e-file after that. Took me 3 wasted hours figuring a work around. This is not the first time Turbo Tax has been buggy. I'm close to getting my tax software somewhere else. I am a retired CPA and I don't think most people would figure out a work around. If you research the problem I had, you will see many negative comments. Turbo Tax should have fixed it by then. I'm not going to pay them to fix their own software.

I have been a TurboTax user for 25 years and love using the software. I will continue to use the software going forward. I was disappointed to see the removal of ItsDeductible. I have used that for many years and it was extremely helpful in itemizing household items. I missed that very much this year!! Thank you.

There was an issue with manually entering interest and dividends this year. My bank does not have upload capabilities (and I want to enter anyway to round off amounts to the nearest dollar), but the "walk me through" path would not allow me to enter interest or dividend information for accounts that pulled over from prior returns. I had to go to forms, enter the information, then I could edit the information through the walk me through program. You should provide a path that doesn't require download to update new information for previously existing accounts - very frustrating and I had to google to determine how to get it done.

I have been using TurboTax for many years now, and I have never had anything but great results...The guidance of the software allows for accuracy with such ease of use - all while giving assistance to any questions that may arise with links to help topics. The software always guides me to my maximum refund with a minimum audit risk - all while taking far less time than before I ever used this software!

You need to keep on top of IRS rules and regulations. If I wasn't on top of new rules, I would have fraudulently got over a $5000 refund instead of $200. I had to pay your tax expert $50.00 to confirm my thoughts. Also, your Tier II tax Maximum needs updated. I pay you over $100.00 for tax software and I expect it to be right.
