Then I realized that I can also use this to freeze soups, stews, and tomato sauce. The possibilities are endless just like the amount of new space I have for storing stuff in my freezer. It is a two pice plastic block measuring 2.5" D x 7.25" W x 8.5"H making each 2" frozen block of leftovers the same uniformed size to expand the space in your freezer. It fits gallon sized bags to hold the maximum amount of food.It stands vertically for easy filling as well as easy freezing. The silicone bands expand for easy release making it easy to use as well. Simply fill the bag and freeze, remove the silicone bands, and reveale the block of frozen food by pulling apart the two pice plastic block. It is not only a space sver but also a time save when it comes to storing your leftovers in a hurry.

The soup poured in easily and frozen in the 2" bock that they show in advertising. Nice and flat. I can easily find what I need and make the best use of my freezer space with this item. I will be using it a lot in the future. I suggest buying two so you always have one ready to use if one is freezing a item.

My mother recently cooked gumbo and gives it to me in a container, which takes up a lot of space in my freezer, so I grabbed my zipper bag and poured the soupy substance into block maker.
