I applied Scots Turf Builder Lawn Food the same day I thatched, plug aerated, and over seeded part of my lawn with RTF Fescue. Within 14 days the lawn was noticeably better. I had a dog that dug up the yard. I didn’t mind because I would purchase Scott’s turf builder and fill the holes. Three weeks ago my dog died from -what the vet said- mushroom poisoning. We never had mushrooms. But before the poisoning we never did. After a heard rain last night, I thought to go in the yard and look to see if we had mushrooms. I found 3! When I looked them up on The Internet Pet MD it showed this mushroom as poisonous to dogs. You really need to review your product. We lost a loved family member.

I basically just follow the Scotts annual lawn care program for my area and put down what is required during the recommended time period. Yard looks much better. Still have some weeds I am working on but overall much better than it was prior to using Scotts products. Yard has a deeper green and lawn looks more lush. Just put this down last weekend and can already see the results. Will continue to use Scotts products.

I have been in the Scotts Lawn Program for many years and have learned over the years that the product is only as good as the person putting it down, properly. If you follow the instructions according to, the back of each product you cannot go wrong and based on buying the product that meets the square footage of your lawn. There is no reason why any one person, cannot achieve a nice green lawn. That's if you follow the complete program. I highly recommend this and all lawn products.

I have thick, lush, green grass. My mailman stopped and asked what I used on my lawn to make it so green and lush. I've even had strangers stop (while I'm working on my garden beds) and ask how I get my lawn to look so beautiful. I have to give all my credit to SCOTT'S Products!

I had a lawn care comapny (Scotts--sorry) and my lawn looked terrible and I told them they should be embarrassed to have their truck parked at our house. I dropped the lawn care company and took all control back my self and have aeriated, limed and fertilized my self with only Scotts fertilizers (granular) and today my lawn looks many many times better and I believe will only continue to get better in the year to come thanks to Scotts fertilizers.

I tried organic or natural products because I had concerns about my kids and dog playing on the grass. They were ok but I decided to go back to Scott's after seeing it was safe for kids and pets. Put it down a couple of days ago and did not water in. Got lucky with some rain and sunny days and boy am I pleased. Lawn has noticeably greened up already!

I graduated to Ultra Turfbuilder some years ago, but it was hard to find. Then I couldn't find it at all, and dropped back to punt with Super Turfbuilder. Now I have trouble finding that! So I'm relegated (retrograded# to regular Turfbuilder again. But it is better than any other lawn fertilizer out there and I've tried a lot, including a couple since Super Turfbuilder got hard to locate. My last application however didn't get much response from the lawn. The huge bag was over a year old, and I was finishing it off, so maybe the fertilizer degrades substantially over time, though the fertilizers we used on farm crops back in the day didn't seem to do that. I keep hoping Ultra Turfbuilder will come back one day; it greened as fast #or faster# as regular or Super, but lasted longer #about 3 months# and had enough iron that no Ironite was needed to darken the green. For some reason Turfbuilder + weed killer is everywhere out there, but I don't have a big weed issue and prefer squirting weed killer on individual weeds as I spot them while mowing. It minimizes pollution of our local drain systems and waterways. Weed & Feed is just wasteful money-wise anyway if you only have a few scattered weeds. I've yet to try GreenMax. It may be more like Ultra TB, but when I've seen it in stores #rarely) it's pretty expensive so I passed on it. I'll only try it when I can find it sale-priced and reasonable.

I have used several different products over the years, but none compare over to Turfbuilder. Some will green up the lawn, but they fade quickly. When I bought my last house, the former owners sprayed the lawn and garden with a herbicide, thus killing everything in sight. I watered the ground for a couple of weeks and found a few sprigs of grass coming up. I applied Scotts four times throughout the year and I now have the best lawn in the neighborhood. It's so thick, that I don't even have weeds. It's tempting to buy a cheaper brands, but results are short lived.
