These are good shelves but almost every one arrived damaged. There is no protective packaging. The shelves are simply in a cardboard box and bang around during the trip which strips the finish and some were even bent. If you don't expect perfection these are good shelves. I've purshased about 10 of these. Maybe 1 or 2 arrived in good condition.

This is the nicest and largest for the price that I've seen. I ordered one and was so pleased that I replaced another shelving unit I had with another one of these. These are taller and wider than any I had so the shelves hold so much more. The only thing I don't care for is the plastic pieces that cover the shelves. If you had cans or items that would fall through the wires then the plastic pieces would be good but every time I place something heavy on these, it pushes the plastic pieces out of the way.

I needed something study but movable for all my craft supplies. The large casters more easily on my carpeting but can be locked in place. The solid shelf liners are excellent to keep smaller objects from either getting caught on the wiring or dropping through. I am a 78 year old female but I was able to assemble it without any help from others.

The only reason I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars...one shelf was bent when I received it. This wasn't due to shipping damage. The bend shelf was in the middle of the packaging. I was able to support it on the garage floor with a 2x4 and apply some of momma's good old collected cooking (my body weight) and with some carefully applied pressure, you can't really tell it was bent, unless you look really close. Other than that, these are well made, heavy duty and come with the option to use the supplied wheel kit or leveling feet.

Our family has at least eight of these shelving units! They are strong, sturdy, easy to assemble (and disassemble when moving to a new city like we just did), plus they come with shelf liners that are so necessary and helpful. I do not like to store ANYTHING directly on the floor, especially in an area where dampness can cause damage. I recently made a special trip two hours away to pick up another one of these shelves for our garage when our local store in our new city was out of stock on this item... that's how much we value this shelf and it's quality. Other stores carry 'similar' shelving, but don't typically come with the shelf liners which are precut to fit.

These shelves are great, I wish they where still on the shelf at the store. They are built very well and are reasonably priced, I hope they don't get crazy with the ridiculous inflated pricing that's been going on for No REASON the past year. I wish they would come back with the similar 3' & corner shelves that use to be in the store, so I can offer them to my customers again for garage and pantry's. There are plenty of wire shelves on the market, but a lot are made poorly, these are made well, I know I've been using and installing wire shelving for nearly 40 years.

We now have seven of these shelving units in our basement. Manufacturer needs to improve packaging to protect the six thin plastic shelf liners from damage during shipping/handling of a two-person lift very heavy cardboard carton. Three of the six shelf liners are damaged as 3"x1" sections of the shelf liners were "sheared off" from the sides of the 48"x18" shelf liners. I am asking Sam's Club to help me work with the manufacturer who has a burdensome warranty policy/procedure that includes returning damaged goods at my expense. All I want are three new replacement shelf liners rolled up and protected with bubble wrap on both ends in a cubic box before being shipped to me.

I ordered two sets of shelves. Both arrived damaged. One so badly that it could not even be set up. That one was returned. The other was set up and I did not notice until the following week that each of the six shelves also have slight twist or bend in them. It’s not bad enough to cause me the time to dismantle and deal w the return, but still disappointing. I ordered a Seville corner rack at the same purchase time and it was sooo much better quality packing, I believe that the poor shape of the Sams club shelves was partly due to the shortcut of packaging for such a heavy item. I bet there are lots of similar issues for people that have them shipped to their homes.

I really liked these wire shelves. They allowed me to take advantage of unused vertical space and were relatively easy to set-up. I suggest setting up the first half, starting with the casters (if used), and then attaching the posts and shelves for the second half.

The shelving system is exactly what I thought I was ordering (no surprises!) I picked it up at the store and the packaging was good. the only minor downsize was the assembly instructions and the difficulty for one person to assemble alone (if you are 83 yrs old,) Young folks should have no problem.
