requires an account to use and monthly subscription for said access.... 

once the machine was set up and fully updated we met with a log in screen that did not allow us to use the machine we paid for a subscription...  the machine we already paid for.

everything having a subscription will be the down fall of society

So far so good. Loving the new rower. You do have to pay for a membership to use the screen. We picked the $10 a month option. We don’t need live classes. So far we have just watched shows while rowing. You have option to log into a few streaming apps. The machine is very smooth and well made. I don’t have a lot of experience with rowing and I really enjoy it. Happy I decided to purchase.
