This is an excellent product that really works on your stomach issues! Taken as directed, use two caplets, then one, etc., this is effective and gets you back to normal sooner than any other product I have tried. They also make a variety that will help with diarrhea and with gas. Not a pleasant topic but this product get you back fast! Really works great for me and my family.

The product is great and works most every time. I start with 2, if within a half hour if symptoms still exist, I take 1 more and that does the trick. The issue I have with product is the packaging. If one is sick and weak with no scissors around I embarrassingly admit I use my teeth. There’s got to be a better way.

I have a J pouch and my surgeon recommended this product to me. I find it slows things down which helps me get through my day. My only complaint is it has become very hard to find the larger quantities of the gel version. I don't digest pills as well so the gels work better for me. Does anyone have an explanation as to why this is happening?

Product works well. Packaging is terrible. Not only extremely difficult to open and painful for senior hands (impossible without scissors. What to do when I'm away from home?), but also an environmental hazard. Not ecologically responsible. The whole industry needs to acknowledge the enormous amount of waste they are creating and become aggressively involved in change. Please work on sustainable packaging.

I take Imodium for lactose-induced diarrhea. And now I read the very FIRST inactive ingredient is lactose - WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? I can no longer use your product because for me, it contains something my body believes is poison that makes me sick. Millions of people are lactose intolerant and should NOT use this product.

Hack: opening Imodium blister packs Instead of trying to peel back the paper on an Imodium soft gel capsule blister package, use a pointed instrument (point of scissors, tip of knife blade, tine of a dinner fork) to poke a hole in the paper seal on each side of the gel, then pry up the paper between those two holes. Then holding the blister pack, turn it over and push down on the clear plastic so the Imodium capsule drops out.

It appears that most complaints are about the packaging and I will add my review to that complaint. Even though the packaging has been complained about for many years, there has not been any effort to make it easier to open the soft gels. Needed scissors to get the soft gels.

Using box cuter, knife and scissors to open, this is a disaster. If you do as instructed and bend the corner back, it breaks off. If you live through cuts and jabs, the product is fine if you don't bleed out before the pill (and the fragments of the stabbed pill) goes down.

The product worked very well for me. Took 2 after the 1st loose bowel movement and had no more pain, bloating, gas or loose stool. I only gave the product 3 stars because I almost spoiled myself trying to free the capsule from its packaging. I've heard of child proofing, but this is PEOPLE PROOFING. Additionally, the lettering in the 'Direction' section is much too small. Perhaps that section should be isolated and printed on the inside of the box in bigger font in an area that is least likely to be hastily torn off when the bos is opened. That way, you wouldn’t have to enlarge the packaging. I’m not surprised to see all the similar reviews, I am dismayed that there seems to be no attempt to address this problematic packaging.
