[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great soil for in ground use. I used it to plant herbs and for some grass spots. Herbs produced a lot of harvest and I am very pleased. The grass seeds germinated just fine and I was finally able to fill in some bare spots on my lawn.

This is an all purpose soil and can be used for fruits, vegetables or flowers. I planted some elephant ears in this soil and they are doing great. I like that the soil feeds for 8 months and promotes strong foots for your plants. This is a great all around soil, and if you use it, you will not be disappointed.

I called the hotline to see if I could use in planters and the rep was very knowledgeable and had information on the tip of his tongue! He explained that this soil was more specifically for ground use because of the compactness and it might suffocate the roots and he would not recommend. Makes sense. Thanks for such a great product and tradition!

It doesn't have any rocks in it and is perfect for planting vegetables and some flowers. The water absorbs the water and waters the roots that are deep down

I bought 10 bags of In Ground Soil and it’s Horrible! Full of heavy wood and no soil to speak of. Tried mixing with soil because it wouldn’t hold water. Full of junk. Had spread all 10 bags and so disappointed. When it rained it molded in the ground. Now digging back out to replace. Big waste of time and money

The small pieces of twigs and other wood chips it contained helps to loosen my compacted soil. After 10 days, the plants are continuing to thrive. The amended areas are holding moisture much longer than the untreated areas of my garden. I expect the amended areas to outperform the rest of the garden.
