The product produces good results if you have patience. Unfortunately, the product has become increasingly cumbersome in ways that are not related to changes in the tax code. Printing schedules and sub-schedules for review and files is not a particularly straightforward process. The repeated offers of tax advice for an additional fee becomes annoying. Still, with patience you can get to final filing and a very good checklist of required steps. The electronic filing process works well.

I have used TurboTax for the past several years and have been very satisfied with it—but not so much for my 2025 return. Using the chat feature to find help for specific topics/questions was a frustrating experience, almost always resulting in a waste of time/effort. After several hours of preparing my 2025 return using TT and finally at the point of e-filing, suddenly I was asked for 2024's AGI and had difficulty easily locating that one piece of datae. Somehow the TT software did not seem to me to be as intuitive as it has been in the past.

After not using TurboTax for one month and doing a preliminary tax return I was unable to open the TurboTax app. I had to call for assistance which took well over an hour to remedy. We were however able to get it to work finally. As I remember I had a similar issue on a different computer a few years ago. Frustrating, hoping it doesn't fail again since I do have a few other tax returns to complete

I've been using Turbo Tax since1998 this is the fist year with so many issues such as charts and tables were included in the copies that were to be mailed. Also alignment of data created a blank page in between pages with data on them. Very disappointing of when the actual CD's were provided. I feel that your concerns are more aligned with what competitors such as H&R Block and Liberty than providing a better product to your customers.

When i tried to file I got a message that the software needed an update first. Gee, might I have not encountered some Turbo Tax glitches had I updated the software. The time to remind the user of updates is WHEN THE UPDATES ARE AVAILABLE. Please also remind users to save their work so they don't end up having to start over when they have failed to save midway through the entry process. PDFs should be available for printing page ranges; TT indicates that can be done BUT the result is ALWAYS the entire document.

Every year I have trouble getting the site to accept that I already have a turbo account. It would not send info to my phone number or to my email that you have on file. I had to reinstall a few times before it finally works. Your site sent me a message that something went wrong..... then it timed me out, while I was waiting for your sit to send me a code to my phone.

New format for entering dividends and interest took a while to get used to. Not sure I like it as well as before. Felt I was being pushed to import info and not given chance to say "Don't ask me again about importing." I can't really review accuracy. I hope it is more accurate than 2024 turned out to be. I ended up with a penalty for underpayment of state taxes because of last year's error.

Technology and ability to navigate remained easy, but misleading prices. Advertised for being free to efile federal, that was not the case, it was an extra $40 at the end to file. Advertised to being free to efile one state, that was not the case, it was $25 with a $10 credit at the end to file. Also, advice is now $60.

Often I find that I still have to battle my way through my return. I've made suggestions in past years, but they were never considered. I stopped wasting my time. It's mostly about navigation. Each year, I find the navigation to be a little worse. Also, the presentation has changed in some areas. It used to clearly list out all my investments and the values I was reporting. Now there are blocks, which make it all harder to see and navigate. Concentrate on functionality, not appearance.

Great except for entering QCD for my RMD's. Took a long time to find. Turbo Tax drop down misleading said I needed to have 1099. Chat room documents misleading--wrong advice. Google search crazy. Finally found it buried in IRA special situations for charitable donations.
