Always a relief to know that TurboTax is doing the math and filling in the correct forms properly. Turbotax always seem to have the correct form available. Also reassuring that TurboTax does a thorough review to check for missing info or typos. Appreciate the flexibility of being able to select which topics to review based on previous year's taxes. Called Turbotax for a software issue. "Step-by-step" was not filling in a 1099-R form properly (i.e. Box 7 Distribution Code had only 1 number, but software would override and "click" Box 7 Question as if there was more than 1 number). Fix was to go into "Forms" and select "(No entry)" for 2nd Box 7 entry. Had a similar problem with type of account, had to go into "Forms" and select the correct info (either IRA or Other). Tech support was very helpful to resolve these matters.

I've used Turbo Tax for over a decade. I've been very happy with it's accuracy up until this year. This year TurboTax recommended that I go with a standard deduction instead of itemized deduction. Although both the Standard Deduction and Itemized Deductions resulted in the same Federal and State tax liability for 2025, TurboTax made a HUGE miss. If I went with TurboTax's Standard Deduction recommendation, my Residential Energy Tax Credit Carry-forward would have shrunk by over $1300. So glad I didn't go with TurboTax's recommendation and double-checked the details!

Your user interface has gone from very good to almost unusable. Unless you go back to somethng more like the old user interface, I will not procure Turbotax for next year. Your changes added a huge amount of frustration and days of unnecessary repetitive work. I finally resorted to using forms, I can only hope I got it right. I have used TurboTax for the past 20 years (maybe longer) and in one year, you destroyed the trust I had in you.

I have used Turbotax for many years. It is generally very user friendly and always accurate. This year, however, it seemed to take longer, even though our return was simpler. I kept having to go to irs.gov to find where to enter things. I also did not appreciate the frequent ads to update or hire expert advice.

Why wouldn't the TurboTax 2025 version transfer my TurboTax 2024 past year information? The comments was that "the file was too large" for the TurboTax 2024 past year information; however, the document was only 8.9 MB in size. This forced me to enter in my 2024 information directly into my 2025 TurboTax forms, which was a three hour operation.

I had several problems getting the proper answers because the amount of money for 2025 was only about $400-$500 more than I made in 2024 but I was told that my tax total was about $2300 more and I would owe nearly $2000. I got in touch with Tiffiny and there were several multiple choice line changes made because I didn't understand the choices.I ended up with a 41900 refund. I never had any problems in previous years. but this years Turbo tax was not user frendly.!

MA tax filing continually kicking out an error and refusing to file the form, tho it is correct. The error occurs as a final step, after you have paid to file electronically, and you can only file manually. Searching for help finds the same error with pension payments occurring for many years

Generally, it is great and I like the features of the program for filing for myself and my wife each year. This year I had a problem when I missed the check box on one of the last few screens dealing with having an identity protection pin. I did not catch this and subsequently had my return rejected twice until I went back through each of the final pages and found the error. They also change this pin each year, which I forgot about. I was able to fix the problem and my return was accepted. HOWEVER - a word of warning. I believe the two rejections may have caused my return to be delayed pending a letter from the identity validation section which required a phone call (with all the usual problems getting through). The online quick ID validation site would not work for some reason with my letter. Once connected a series of questions, which was fine - however then they advised it would be another 9 weeks (up to) to get our refund. What a headache from this mistake. (The IRS person I spoke to said she also made this error on her return!!) Perhaps TT can format the ID protection pin entry in such a way that it is towards the final page or make it harder to miss. Just a suggestion, thanks for the great product.

I want to mail my state return not e-file it. when i print it out to mail says to e-file and does not provide mail in instructions. Also, wants to charge me $25 to e-file it. My product comes with one free state filing and 5 free electronic filings. I have not e-filed any state returns. Why is it charging me $25 to e-file state return when a I haven't e-filed any state returns

I have used Turbo Tax or over 15 years, and they just seem to be getting worse. First, they no longer have the running tabulation of what is due or will be returned on the top banner. Second, the "convenience charge" for asking to pay with your credit card is beyond absurd and illogical. If someone owes 1000, at your rate of 2.49%, they would be paying $31 to file. Considering most cards only GIVE 1 or 2%, it would actually be a loss. Finally, while there IS fine print, still trying to advertise "Free State" without the filing (an additional $25), is another example of being deceptive and trying to gouge customers at every turn. So MAJORLY disappointed after all these years.
