This was the hardest time I've had with many years of using TurboTax. The program was unable to transfer the information from my 2024 TurboTax return to create a new return. I was actually on the phone with a representative seeking help when I attempted, for at least the 5th time, to access the 2024 file and transfer, when it actually worked. I had closed the 2025 TurboTax file and reopened before making the call, and I believe this is what worked. But it shouldn't have been so hard!

Canadian tax quesing in the middle of everything is down right confusing and difficult to get around. The review questions can lead people astray. There were places that were difficult to figure out what was being asked. With only a few lines of a form available I couldn't even tell what the review was talking about. Asking for percent of RMD drove me nuts. It was computed and sent to me by broker and I know it was the RMD but had to spend an inordinate time to figure out what the IRA was worth at beginning of year, etc. instead of just saying it was the required amount. I have never messed with crypto so the questions referenceing "digital" transactions didn't register with me and I had to look up what it meant.

I have been buying TurboTax for years. This is the first year I have had issues. Can't return and doesn't work on my computer. They send you to online not telling you that it negates the other returns you could have used this for and it is only good for 1 return.

New format for entering dividends and interest took a while to get used to. Not sure I like it as well as before. Felt I was being pushed to import info and not given chance to say "Don't ask me again about importing." I can't really review accuracy. I hope it is more accurate than 2024 turned out to be. I ended up with a penalty for underpayment of state taxes because of last year's error.

I did not need tax advice during preparation. However, there were two issues with TurboTax which were quite vexing. First, I received a warning that I had underpaid Required Minimum Distribution and woudl incur a penalty. But there was no indication from which of three possible accounts I had underpaid nor by how much. I had to figure it out by trial-and-error. Secondly, the Mississippi state return required entering an "Other State" code before it would permit e-filing. There was no "other state" to report. So, I repeated an entry MS as the "other state." I as not pleassed with TurboTax this year.

Product works fine for basic tax filing. It does NOT import information from prior year's tax filing which would have been very helpful. It does not cover things like foreign taxes paid. It asks for some information but does not adequately explain what it is asking for or how to enter it correctly. When the check return function is used, it asks for additional info but it does not explain what it needs. Where it asks for information from prior years' returns, it should be importing this info from prior year's Turbo Tax filing.

Download and install is a nosebleed. Need to submit to multi-factor authentication in order to access more multi-factor authentication. Forced Intuit Account registration to "confirm my identity" but you were glad to take my money without confirming my identity; that is a bait and switch. Turbo Tax did not handle my healthcare properly, had to go back and do it manually. What if I had not known that was necessary? I really don't like the constant up-selling and cross-selling. It's taxes. I want to get in and get out as quickly as possible. I don't want to form a long-term relationship with my tax software.

The Summary instructions should pick up subtleties for decedent filing - Like Remember to include a death certificate and/or court ordered letter. I recalled seeing these when completing the return and had to LOOK back through the retrurn when preparing the mailing. If I did not recall seeing those, the returns would be rejected and weeks waiting would be wasted.

Let you e-file without a PIN. The program implies it is optional. There is no way to go back to enter it as your online instructions are wrong. Instructions on right side of screen say "Open TurboTax Desktop. Select Fix my return. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter your 2025 IP PIN to re-file your return." This is incorrect. There is no option to "fix my return" and no way to get to it. This is a critical bug.

I have used Turbotax for 25 some years. For the first time I could not download by state return. Your professional agents spent the hours needed to diagnose the problem, make the corrections needed, and get my PC to working order. All at no extra charge. THANK YOU ALL.
