This pergola is really nice. Though the cedar is slightly stained, we added stain and it really freshened the wood up. DO lay out EVERY SINGLE PIECE of wood before assembling. The directions were a bit wonky and I ended up using a corner pillar in the center, which left appearance holes where it shouldn’t have. But in the end no one would really notice.

My 17 year old grandson and his friend and I put it together in 2 days. It was very easy to put together and the memories we created was priceless!! Defiantly worth the money!!

Backyard Discovery must have made improvements to the QA of this product because mine fit together perfectly! The most time consuming part was re-staining it to fit the look I was going for, but it was well worth it. I was able to set it up over the course of an afternoon and couldn't be happier with the end result. At this price point and the ease of setup, I wouldn't recommend any other pergola.

We bought this a couple of months ago but had to wait to have slab put in after contractor had a family emergency. Now that slab was put in and waited the 10 days to cure enough my wife and I did the project ourselves which took 2 full days plus stained it. Not bad being in our 70’s. Know that it is done we are loving the time we get to spend using it.

At 73, I have been putting together kits for a very long time and in all those years, this is the best kit ever. Everything was included, everything fit, the wood was excellent and the hardware was first rate. Thank you for extra hardware as well as this would be hard to find locally. The directions were terse with great illustrations leaving no doubt as to how to put the pergola together. I am one huge fan of Backyard Discovery!

I was relieved when the boxes were delivered and I could confirm the quality of the manufacturing and design. The instructions were well written, and the assembly was clearly well thought out. My son and I were able to easily assemble the pergola in about 8-10 hours on a Saturday. I was impressed at how easily it went together with pre-drilled holes everywhere and top quality hardware. The product and company exceeded all my expectations. In sunny California we enjoy the pergola almost every day. I would highly recommend this product to anyone considering a pergola to enhance their property.

I am not one who usually writes reviews for items that I buy. But I want anyone who is thinking about this product to feel assured it will far exceed your expectations. I am thrilled with this pergola. It has added so much to our backyard. countless compliments from everyone who sees it. the quality of the wood and fasteners is top notch. . The ease of assembly is not often found in todays products. I would highly recommend this company for their customer service is very responsive and polite.

I never leave reviews. And I'm the person that wondered why people say that. I assumed it's either because they may be trying to persuade someone either or way, who may be on the fence about buying a product. They are satisfied or dissatisfied. In this case, I am highly satisfied. The pergola is great. A few minor cracks in one of the 4 main corner posts, due to shipping I am assuming. I didn't call or complain, I didn't notice to I had put it up. It should be okay. I bought 2 months ago. It's been up a month now. Took about 7 hours over two days. I did alone. I had my wife to the corner post once I stood each side up. I attached all the separated parts together first in the garage. Then moved to the outside to set up. Went very smoothly.
