We absolutely love our pergola. We bought ours last year and it arrived on time right at our doorstep. It only took 2 people to assemble and only a couple hours from start to finish. It is the best feature in our backyard and we get so many compliments on it! We made a retractable canopy for it using wire, wood, and a drop cloth and makes the perfect shade on a sunny day. We even added solar globe lights to give it the perfect night glow. Even after one whole winter it still looks like new!

Very happy. I put it together myself in an afternoon. Am I Impact driver and 10 Topo Chicos later and it’s up and beautiful. Very happy with the quality and details. Construction couldn’t have been more straight forward. Very happy - would buy again.

Took my wife and I about 4 hours. Instructions are easy to follow. I was truly impressed with the way it went together. All the pre-drilled holes lined up perfectly. It looks great too. I can’t express how well “machined” all of the parts were. Sometimes, assemblies can be frustrating. Not this one. It was actually enjoyable, to some degree. We are happy with it. Hopefully, it holds up through the seasons.

After reading many reviews, we decided to purchase the 12x20 Beaumont pergola for the far side of our pool area. It is the perfect addition and finishes the space beautifully serving as a separation between the pool area and backyard “fun.” The pergola is real wood and very heavy (when putting together). My husband and I (ages 52 and 46) did it together with help from our 17 year old son when lifting. It took us some time (a full Saturday), but that included organizing the pieces before starting. We also worked slowly as I wanted to be sure we were doing it correctly to eliminate the need to undo and redo something - which would be a lot of work. We chose to paint our pergola (Turkish Coffee by Sherman Williams) to match our Tudor home as the natural stain the wood comes in was too light for our surrounding decor. We also strung lights and added curtains for comfort. This space is a favorite - even amongst the teenagers! We only put our pergola up a few weeks ago, but it’s heavy, solid and obviously high quality. I would highly recommend this particular pergola (12x20 Beaumont). Side note, the delivery was easy and the product arrived sooner than we expected. It comes in 4 large (heavy) boxes.

I’ll admit a little slow becoming a pergola advocate. With the Texas sun, I do want a little more protection when cooking outside than these things natively offer. This 12x20 monster replaces a pair of 10x13 canopies. The wind has blown here more this year than in the past 60 years. My cheap canopies didn’t stand a chance. The vibration from the wind loosened half the screws and both simply collapsed. And they acted like sails before collapsing. The family joke was me getting everyone to help move them back into place at family gatherings. This baby is over 700 lbs and rated for 100 mph winds. I cannot imagine it moving for some wimpy 40 mph breeze. I need to conjure up some Sun/rain protection, but I am beyond thrilled with it. I ordered the installation when I purchased the pergola. A precise date/time was set for the installation from emails they were coming from Back Yard Discovery. However, when the installers arrived without the pergola at the appointed hour, I realized there was a disconnect somewhere. The pergola magically arrived Friday before the 4th of July weekend. I called the installers back and darned if they didn’t come Saturday morning to install this thing. They just left. Other than signing their paperwork, I actually haven’t goner over it closely yet. But the installers were punctual, polite, and very, very efficient. This is the summer for backyard projects that I have anticipated for a long time. This pergola is key to housing my entire outside cooking world and to have it dine in time for the 4th of July makes me very happy. Thanks to everyone involved!

We purchased this pergola several months ago and put it up soon after. My husband and I built it and it was not too difficult. The wood and hardware are very sturdy. We did re-stain it before we built it, but we knew we were going to do that when we purchased it. We just wanted a darker color than what it came with. The pergola looks and feels great out by our pool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased and put together all on my own this spring 2023, NO missing parts, extra hardware and tools included, simple directions (if you like legos - this is a snap). Overall very solid, I pre coated everything with wood sealer prior to assembly. The corbels were a bit tricky to line up with the pre drill positions but a few 36" wood clamps fixed that simple enough. Nothing but compliments from friends and neighbors.

We have been looking for a pergola big enough for a large sitting area and dining table and finally found this one. I love that it is wind tested too as our backyard can get wind gusts and I know this pergola is quality and will withstand the elements.

Much better than my expectations one of the boards and shipment got damaged customer service was so excellent to deal with they had my new part here in 2 days my only complaint is I have to put it together by myself which has no influence on the company LOL The instructions to put it together were on point all the hose lined up I would definitely purchase another one if I need it to in the future.... LOVE IT.... I've gotten so many compliments on how beautiful it is from my neighbors which it is has added value to my home

Just bought 2 of the 16x12 pergolas to sit side by side. The first thing I noticed is the color is completely off from the photos online. One of the reasons I chose this pergola was because the color matched the rest of the wood in my yard. I understand that screens can distort color a bit but this is extreme and MUCH lighter than anticipated. It does state in the description that saturation can vary but I don’t even think it’s a saturation issue as it is maybe only 1 coat of stain added as opposed to more to get the proper color maybe to just get the product out faster? Not sure but make sure you don’t rely on the color if it’s important to you. The other thing is that several of the joists were pretty bowed. It didn’t prevent us from installing but just not super high quality for the price paid. A lot of the pieces are pretty lightweight and posts are hollow. Still not sure how this withstands the high winds that they say but we did attach it to the house and a concrete patio so we’ll see how it lasts to Florida storms. Overall it was relatively easy to put together but I likely would not purchase again. If you are making a decision based on what you see in photos make sure to do more research first.
