We understand it must upsetting that the powder left residue on the washer and clothes.<br /><br />We appreciate you saying works really well for you, but this is not the type of experience we want you to go through. <br /><br />To help prevent detergent residue:<br /><br />Use only the amount of detergent needed for your load size and soil level, and avoid overloading your washing machine, especially HE models, so clothes have enough room to move freely.<br /><br />Follow your machine’s recommended fill levels for each cycle type (normal/cotton, synthetic, delicate/wool). <br /><br />Use water temperatures according to the garment care labels, keeping in mind cold water might be colder in winter.<br /><br />If you use a detergent dispenser, make sure the water pressure is sufficient to flush all detergent into the drum and check for any blockages.<br /><br />Now, to remove residue from clothing, rinse with warm water immediately, then rewash without detergent at the highest temperature allowed by the care label. If residue remains, soak the garments overnight.<br /><br />And, for residue or buildup in the detergent dispenser or drawer, remove and clean it with hot soapy water. Soak overnight if stubborn residue remains.
