This stuff is legendary. I remember when this scent was actually new (late 90's/early 00's). Yes, there was an "original" scent before this one, but nowhere near as potent. This quickly became my favorite laundry detergent after the scent change and has remained so. Incredible scent, powerful cleaning ability, and while it's not the cheapest on the shelf, it's not the most expensive, either. The high quality makes it a good deal, as well. I think the powder has a stronger, more authentic Gain fragrance than the liquid. This is the one to get if you want your clothes clean and smelling REALLY good!

Gain to me is the best laundry washing powder ever made. love the way it leaves my loves smelling fresh and clean. the scent of gain remains in the clothes even when they are dirty and ready to be washed again. Gain is wonderful, I haven't bought another brand of powder or liquid since Gain hit the market. MY family just love gain and won't use anything else. If there's anything better it will take a lot of convincing for us to even think about trying it, and it has to be a free trial because I refuse to buy anything that;s not Gain.

I don't know how long I've used Gain but I've tried other detergents and have always come back to Gain. I love the scent and that it is long lasting. I have one concern, however. The original Gain powder is becoming more and more difficult to find. I prefer the box as I refuse to buy products in plastic. The box is better for the environment. I have an older, very basic washing machine,never needed all the bells and whistles just to wash clothes. I hope you will not stop production of the powder in the box or change that original scent! Old school still works great for me.

I have been using this for years! I was sad, no mad to see it lessened on the grocery shelves! What’s wrong with you folks? Just the other day my daughter had to use my washer and she could not believe how her laundry smelled so good after she took it home! Her teenager said “ I don’t have to wear perfume because I smell so good!” The liquid, Tabs, don’t work the same as the detergent! Don’t get rid of it! Original Gain Detergent all the way!

I love this product! It is one of the few laundry detergents that everyone in my household can use (VERY sensitive skin) and enjoy the scent! My main issue is that I have been using this for a while and loved getting the coupons from the inside of the box, except they are all now EXPIRED. I just bought a brand new box today from a Wal-Mart (more assurance that the product is newer) and all the coupons have the same expiry date of 12/31/2018! I have now lost over $30 worth of coupons because they are UNUSABLE!

I recently just switched from Tide, and I'm loving this product!! The scent is amazing! Now I'm stalking the shelves of my local supermarket looking for all things gain original scent! Candles, plug ins, cleaning products!! I want my whole house to smell like gain original scent!

I used to love original Gain, that is, until they added aroma boost! It has an overwhelming, unpleasant smell to it now. It leaves my laundry with an odd after scent as well. This is in conjuction with using Gain original scented dryer sheets. I've switched to using Gain Apple Mango Tango as it's the only Gain detergent I can find in my area without aroma boost in it. Please give us an original scented option without the aroma boost!

Do you make an unscented version, because the scent on this stuff is completely over the top. It makes my whole bedroom smell like a dryer sheet and keeps me up at night. I tried an extra rinse and line drying, which helped a little, but nowhere near enough. I love the price and the cleaning power, but man, you guys have to tone down the smell.

Gain original is my go to laundry detergent. It cleans very well and leaves my clothes smelling fresh and clean. Gain does not fade colors and runs through my machine great. I love it and highly recommend anyone use this brand of detergent. I've used it for many years and am very happy with it.

I love the smell of the product, but they have to come up with a different wrapping for the Gain Pods... Every time I do laundry, for some reason, I have to verify every piece of clothing because the wrapping does not dissolve so it sticks on the clothes and if you put it in the dryer, it dries hard. I'm also wondering for the times that it actually get through the wash, what does it do further down the line in your drain, does it stick somewhere and eventually will clog your drain???
