I absolutely love my gazebo. It wasn't too difficult to put it together. With the exception of standing it up and putting the roof on, I was able to do it all by myself. I had to reach out to customer support a couple of times and I can't speak highly enough of the excellent support I received. I had responses and resolutions within MINUTES!

Purchased one day and sorted one day, completed assembly the next, grilled the next. My neighbors were astounded. Incredibly simple and thoughtful instructions. Well laid out. Well labled, and thoughtfully designed. Every step, every part obviously well engineered. Was a pleasure to assemble.

Nice-sized grill gazebo for our new grill and small smoker. Assembly was relatively straight-forward with 2 people, and took most of the day. They did a great job putting this kit together so the pieces fit and made assembly easy. We did put a clear polyurethane on all the cedar pieces before assembling, to preserve the color and make it last longer... if there is a stain on it, you can't tell as the wood is very thirsty for more. Very pleased with the hardware, and the fact it came with a couple spares. The roof is okay... I wish it extended out further on the sides to protect the counters/tables, further out the back, and wish it had a greater slope for shedding rain and snow. We may eventually end up altering the roof ourselves. Overall, I'm happy with it. It looks great on our patio and will be very usable in nice weather.

We bought this awhile ago and had to wait until we got approval from the town to install it. So now that we are putting it together we have had the most problem with the roof. It doesn't cover the roof frame to the edges as the instructions seem to indicate. The first time it was our mistake but the second time we followed instructions exactly and were too short by the time we got to the end panel so we had to remove all the screws. So now we are looking for more washers for the screws... :(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for something that could do two things, protect my grill/barbecue area from rain, and shield my 3 season porch from the late afternoon/evening summer sun. I was able to put most of it together myself, and with my brother's help we lifted the roof section into place. I really like the look of it, I like the sturdy feel it has, it's very well thought out. It is a real job to put it together, though. Just do a thorough inventory, read the directions more than once, and budget plenty of time.

This a great addition to our yard and outdoor space. It is a few feet from our pool, and provides terrific shade and electrical charging for our pool cleaning gadgets. The quality of the wood and the workmanship are top notch. I had a couple of issues, and the staff at Back Yard Discovery were awesome. Questions answered and concerns taken care of. Absolutely recommend their products!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to cover two grills and a smoker and it did the job. It was very well labeled & directions were clear. It did take 5 of us to lift the roof on, but with the extra hands it went on seamlessly. Beautiful product that is now a focal point of my backyard.

From ordering to delivery to setup this is a great product. The material was high quality. The directions were actually decent. I do recommend that you read them through once, lay out parts and tools, and also when doing some of the middle steps look ahead then go back and do the step. I found this to help support what the end result would be on the current step. I would challenge the takes three hours! And having 3 friends is helpful. 4 to lift the roof. Lastly once assembled it is heavy and hard to move so be prepared. A great buy and product!

This was packaged very well and there were no damaged parts. Assembly was surprisingly easy for a structure this size and the instructions were easy to follow. It looks beautiful in the back yard and has plenty of room for the three grills that now live under it. We would definitely buy this again.

I needed a gazebo no taller than 8 feet or so, since I wanted to keep my tress without much trimming. This gazebo fits our space perfectly. I know it's called the 'XL Grill Gazebo', but for us it's the pool tools and shade gazebo. The power box and shelves are perfect for pool items and other backyard tools. The shade space is great. I would have loved a bigger one, but don't have the space in the area I had designated. Installation was professional and my dealings with the BYD service folk was outstanding. The quality of the solid cedar wood parts is exceptional. I would definitely recommend BYD with no reservations.
