I bought this back in October and it took me 2 days to complete. Pretty straightforward instructions just keep all your fasteners separated. Definitely solicit the help from two or three friends to put the roof portion on hasn't made it very easy. I purchased corrugated galvanized Barn Roofing from the local hardware store and covered in the back which is very helpful when it snows as you can see from the pictures. Miss gazebo is well worth the price and a bargain compared to others.

After pricing out materials to build one from scratch, we found it would have cost close to what we'd spend on the Saxony XL, not to mention take us longer to build without a kit, so we decided to go with this one from Backyard Discovery. We're really happy with the results. We did find out the hard way that it's best to actually follow the instructions to a T rather than assume things and "freelance," so we had to undo things a couple of times and read the instructions more carefully, but all worked out in the end. My husband and I were able to build the gazebo, including lifting the roof into place, without additional help. One roof panel was missing -- which we didn't discover until we actually opened that box when we were ready to put the panels on -- but the missing piece was shipped out to us at no cost and arrived within a few days. The only downside was that the single sheet of metal roofing wasn't braced or padded in the box, and it arrived bent. But we used it as it was, and you can't really see the bend. Overall, we're really happy with the gazebo and the customer service.

I purchased this grill gazebo to put on an 8‘ x 8‘ concrete pad. After three years of replacing metal gazebos that just bent in the wind or rusted through the year it was time to make the bigger investment in a nice cedar gazebo. The construction recommends two adults, I took an entire day and did it by myself. I am 6 foot 2, 220 pounds and most of the construction was able to be completed safely with just myself. To place the roof on the top of the structure, You definitely need another adult of equal height and a ladder. For most of the process, you can get it done with just one person, but lifting the roof onto the top of the structure does require a second grown adult. I love the way it looks. I would purchase it all over again and recommend it to all my friends. It’s a wonderful addition to our yard!

We added blinking string lights across the entire ceiling. Everyone just loved the look. I loved it so much that i bought a second Backyard Discovery Gazebo to add to the look. I am truly considering a third to place all of my cooking appliances under them.

I bought my grilling gazebo in July 2022. I’m not very mechanical, but I was able to assemble the structure and roof easily by following the detailed instructions that were included. I did need assistance in lifting the roof onto the frame at the end. The grilling gazebo was the final touch after adding additional patio paver space and a pool. It allowed me to move my grill and outdoor cooker off my patio and underneath the gazebo. It really gives our outdoor living space a feeling of completion.

The wood is very clear and no knots really. It was very easy to put together. Honestly I could have made my own but it would have cost more, and would have taken forever to design and run back and forth to the hardware store for this and that. This was the way to go.

This is a great item. Came in two boxes with almost no need for any non eco friendly styrofoam because the packaging was so well designed. Carried through to assembly with excellent directions and all the parts marked. Only negative was the plastic protective film on the roof pieces that was almost impossible to remove. I ended up leaving it on. I also added some lattice to it in back since I had it on an elevated deck to be safe. But really love the look and function of this and highly recommend it.

I love that it has the option for seating on both sides. Our pellet grill and blackstone both fit under it with room to spare. I highly recommend!

I purchased this so I have some protection from the weather in northern New York. I grill all year round snd thus will be great. I am adding a back wall for more wind/snow protection as well as lights for night grilling. Good addition to our 10x14 Cordova gazebo.
