Folding the chairs is simple if you follow the directions on the chairs. Do NOT pull up on the arms to fold!!! This just jams it. Place one hand on the center front fabric of the seat, the other hand on the rear top fabric of the back. Pull up on the center front fabric towards the back and it folds easily. IIRC my last chair had these instructions on a tag to help you remember. Most people complaining they can't fold it are more than likely pulling up on the arms which doesn't work for these style chairs. I love these chairs. They are comfortable to sit in and easy to carry. The back is tall and supportive. The bottom is flat and not curved down like other bag chairs giving more support to your back. I would give it 5 stars if it would come with a pouch holder on both sides. The only issue I've had is the plastic bracket cracking every couple years but at only $20 I feel like I usually get my money's worth before it happens.

I really wish Sam’s Club would let you sign up to be notified when something comes back in stock. I’ve been waiting months for this to come back so I could buy a few more because this is our favorite camp chair and we only have one. I’ve been checking every other week and it looks like I somehow missed the restock based on other reviews. I’m also really really disappointed that they haven’t brought back the similar kids chairs for this summer since we really need one of those too.

We bought these to replace old camping chairs. The price was great so we bought 2. The first time we used them we were at a state park. They were very sturdy and comfortable. The problem was that one of the chairs closed with difficulty and the other one wouldn't close at all! So we had to carry an open chair for quite a distance. Good thing we have a van. These are going back for sure. Now have to look for something else. They should be removed from the market.

I bought similar chairs at Sam’s club 3 years ago - they were sturdy and easy to open. But broke this past fall. I just bought 4 grey chairs (paying $30 to ship to my house since website says no colors available in store). Each chair is really hard to open/close and I feel like I’m going to break it bc of the force required to open/shut. Very disappointed this time

Bought two of these for a camping trip and they are very comfortable. The problem is getting them open and shut. Unless there is a secret method, we found them to be unsatisfactory. When we looked closer, the paint is actually scraping off the metal because of the friction. It seems highly coincidental that two chairs would have the same problem
